Once upon a time in the universe, there were two beings we are all familiar with, Sun and Moon.
Since the beginning of time, Sun and Moon had always worked together in order for our days and nights to exist. They have been doing this for humans as part of their lives.
Sun had fallen in love with Moon over the course of time, having noticed her beauty and calmness. Moon had no interest in Sun though, in fact, she hated him.
People would play and be happy in Sun's days, but sleep and be silent through her nights. She was jealous they enjoyed his days but only rested through her nights.
This anger filled up in Moon, and one day she just let everything out. She used all of her power and cursed the entire world with eternal night for the rest of time.
Sun knew this was wrong, and he was the only one strong enough to overpower Moon. It broke him just thinking about it. Nonetheless, for the sake of humanity, he had to do what had to be done.
"I had always loved you, your charm and your grace. I went down every night just so you could glimmer, but now you have done something that would put the world in danger. I have no choice but to banish you into the night. Please remember me, and that I love you."
As a tear fell from the sky, the moon went down and the sun shone again.
