Chapter 7: New guy

Yukihara's POV

I woke up in a room. Well,my sight's still kinda blurry. I looked my eyes around,then recognized the room. I'm in the school's infirmary,I guess.

"Huh…" I tried to sit up. I took a look at my side. It was cleaned and bandaged.

"Seems like your awake." Kid said from the door. I smiled a bit.

"Well,yeah." I answered. He sat beside the bed,then gave me a bread.

"You were asleep for 3 hours. I'm sure you're hungry." He smiled. I took the bread then ate it.

"Of course. What happened,anyway ?" I blinked while taking a bite. Dang,I'm really hungry !! *~*

"Well,I knew your condition while were going back here. You were not thinking of yourself that time. So I had the feeling you'll pass out after sometime,because of your wound of course. And then it happened,you passed out." He sighed. "You can just tell if you're not feeling good. I can carry you home."

"Sorry. I just don't want to depend on others. It makes me look… Weak…" I sighed. I don't want to look weak in another's eyes. They'll think that I just watched my parents die in front of my eyes because I'm weak…

"Everyone has their own limitations. One day,you'll need real help. And if that day comes,we'll be here beside you. So don't worry." Kid smiled. I nodded then smiled back.

"Thank you."

He stood up,then handed me a bottled water. I took the water then finished my bread,then drank.

"I'll be leaving cause it's already night time. I'll see ya tomorrow after you get discharged. 10:30" Kid smiled. I just nodded.

"Anything else you need ?" He asked. "Nothing important." I answered. He just nodded then left.

I just sat there then looked at the window. Sigh.

I feel myself needing a restroom,cause I wanted to wash my face. It's been a long day for me.

I held on the side table for support. Damn,this wound did a lot. It hurts while I'm trying to stand.

"Okay…" I mumbled to myself. I took a careful step. It's fine. So I took a second one and then there.

I tripped and I started to fall on my knees. I know I'll feel real pain cause I'm falling sideways,and my wound will hit the floor.

"Oh sh*t." I mumbled as I closed my eyes tightly.

But something is strange. I felt arms catch me. Wait,Kid left already,right ?

"Tsk tsk. Miss,be careful next time,okay ?" A guy's voice said. I opened my eyes,seeing a guy with blonde hair and eyeglasses in a blue hoodie carrying me. He laid me down on the bed with a sigh.

"W-who are you ?!" I quickly asked while taking my pocket knife,pointing it at him.

He looked taken aback. He raised his hands like surrendering. "I'm Ice Mango Nagase ! Now put that down !" He yelled.

I eyed him. He looked kind,so I set the knife down. "Nice name,MANGO." I laughed. He grumbled. "Call me Ice." He snorted. I just laughed. "Okay okay,Mango. So… Why help me ?" I asked.

"Psh. I was walking through the hallways I passed this room. I saw you trying to stand,and trip,so being a kind guy… I helped you." He said.

"You don't have to. I can stand on my own." I sighed. He just patted my head.

"You looked wounded. So I decided to help you. You'll be in my conscience if I let you trip there." He laughed.

"Hmph. Okay. Now go out,I wanna sleep." I laid down then took the blanket.

"Okay,sweet dreams,miss…?" He blinked. "Won't telling you my name. Now go out ! Bye ! Thanks !" I grumbled.

"Pft,okay. Bye funny girl." Then he left. Huh ? Who's funny ? =___=

I woke up at 10:25 in the morning. Hmm… Kid's gonna fetch me after 5 minutes. So I just waited.

Minutes passed. Kid came. "Good morning." He greeted. "Good morning." I smiled.

"Well,I talked to Dr. Stein outside. He said you can go to classes now,but still,be careful." He smiled. I just nodded then sat up. He helped me stand and go to the bathroom.

I took a bath then got dressed. When I went outside,Kid was sitting on the bed. I dried my hair with the towel,then poked him.

"What're you starin' at ?" I laughed. He looked at me then chuckled. "Nothing." He stood up. "Let's go ?" He asked.

"Yeah."
