I woke up to the sound of pans being scattered and moved around. I wiped the cold out of my eyes and stretched my body. I checked my phone for any messages and as usual it was a good morning text from Julian. I quickly replied and headed to the bathroom. I'm so happy it was Friday. I was ready to spend a nice peaceful weekend with my baby.
After brushing my teeth, I hopped in the shower washing the scent of yesterday from me. "Loyalty! Hurry up and eat!," I heard my mom yell from downstairs. I twisted my mouth up, putting my bedroom slippers and my baby blue bathrobe on. I ran downstairs, seeing my mom plating the food. "Ma, what's all this?," I asked sitting down at the table. She placed the plate in front of me.
"Well, I wanted to discuss some things with you over breakfast and I wanted to make sure you have something in your stomach before you go to school."
"Are you trying to kill me? Cause you acting funny," I pondered out loud as she took a seat across from me. She let out a giggle, digging her fork into her waffles.
"Loyalty, I don't want any negative energy. I just want to start fresh with you."
I nodded my head, checking my phone for any replies. "I want to meet him, properly," she said out of the blue. I quickly looked up realizing she was talking to me.
"Julian? Why do you want to meet him?," I asked out of curiosity. I took a bite of my bacon. "I saw y'all butt naked on my couch. I believe you guys are pretty serious," she answered.
I busted out laughing, banging on the table. "I'm so sorry about that. Ma, he is so genuine. You'll love him. He would give me the world. That's my baby, my future husband. He's nothing like his dad," I rambled on about him.
"His dad?,"she wondered before taking a sip of her apple juice.
"Yeah, Jackson. But ma, when you meet him you can see past that man. He's everything I ever needed in a guy and that's real," I explained putting my cutlery down. Slowly, she nodded her head.
"I respect that. That's how I felt about Henry. When we were in high school, blacks and Latinos didn't really like each other. Henry and I saw past race. I loved him," she slowly confessed. There was a few seconds of silence. I nodded my head, silently excusing myself from the table.
I walked upstairs to my room, laying things out for school. I slipped on my black g-string along with a black T-shirt bra. After looking in my shoes closet, my outfit was completed with my black Nike crop top, black cut out leggings and Nike Kwazi's.
I added my favorite pair of white gold hoops and clear gloss. I slicked my silky blowout into a high ponytail and added baby hair. I texted Julian, telling him to swing by. Walking downstairs, I played a few games of Color Switch. "Oh my fucking Gosh. Dumb ass game. I'm tired of playing this," I mumbled heading towards the living room. Irritated, I uninstalled the application and texted Julian once again.
After fifteen minutes passed, there was a hard knock at the door. I walked over to the door, looking through the peephole, seeing it was Julian. "Wassup, baby. I'm here after you done blown up my phone thirty times," He remarked after I opened the door. He brushed up against me, grabbing my waist and easing his hands down to my butt.
"Well, I wanted to introduce you to my mom, formally but, I think she's sleep," I explained wrapping my arms around his neck. He planted a kiss on my lips then trailed down to my neck.
"Julian, you gonna make us late," I giggled, before kissing him back.
"So, what. Let a nigga feel on what's his. Damn girl, you smell so good," he mumbled, nuzzling his face into my neck. I slightly pushed him off so that we were still face to face but that we were separated.
