•it's easy to love the ones who doesn't love you back•
"Let me get this straight. You were the one who basically demanded me to come hang out with you and you don't know where to go?" Gabriel asked, irritated.
I sunk lower in the passenger seat and crossed my arms. "It was a spur in the moment kind of thing. It's not like I had everything planned out and dragged you to come. Just think of somewhere we can go."
"This has to probably be my worst unplanned day out with you." He murmured but I heard it.
"What was that you said?" I asked.
"Nothing!" He deadpanned.
I smirked and looked out the window. "Thought so."
Suddenly Gabriel's phone rang which made him groan. Don't tell me he had something already planned yet he listened to my child-like demand? Shit.
"Can you answer for me and put it on speaker?" He asked, since we were on the highway and he was driving.
I did as told and a familiar voice filled the car.
"Oi. Where did you go so early in the morning?"
Gabriel groaned again. "None of your business."
"Ouch. You wound me brother. Here I was thinking I could have some bonding time with you and-"
"You have a brother?" I blurted out surprised at the same time when Gabriel said, "You're not my brother."
"Was that a girl's voice? That was u-"
Before the person could finish his sentence, Gabriel snatched the phone from me and disconnected the call.
"That was Mica Fletcher, right?" I asked to confirm my curious mind.
"Yes and yes."
"Why two yes's?" I asked confused.
"Because you were obviously going to ask me if he was my step-brother." He rolled his eyes.
I smiled involuntarily. "You know me too well. But it's quite surprising for both of you to be related. I mean, both of your personalities clash in a whole different level."
"I know. He's annoying." He replied curtly and I knew I had to stop asking questions related to his family.
"So I'm hungry." As if on cue, my stomach growled loudly making Gabriel's lips twitch up in the slightest.
"Of course."
"Let's go eat something first." I mumbled, embarassed at the untimely growl from my traitorous stomach.
He drove us to a cute, litte diner, a little away from town called 'Delicious Dreams'. Creative, I must say.
"You know this place?" I asked as we both got out of his car.
"I come here sometimes." He shrugged and walked towards the entrance.
When we stepped in, my mouth instantly watered from the delicious aroma around. The diner was almost filled with people which made me realise it was quite popular around here. There were beautiful words of encouragements hung in frames on the walls of the diner, a small bookshelf at the corner, a photobooth and a grand piano as well. Wow. It was the perfect hangout spot.
"Lets go sit over there." Gabriel said, leading us towards an empty table near the piano.
"This place is amazing." I gushed, still looking around.
