"I know I told myself that I will not regret going on a date with you but now I definitely won't regret and forget my first date for the rest of my life!" I exclaimed as I looked at the sign infront of me.
Gabriel brought me to the freaking amusement park!
"Well, good to know." He replied, a little amused.
Now don't judge me because I got too excited to come to the amusement park. The last time I came here was basically when I was 9 years old and I don't even remember much of it. Also the park had been closed off for two years which made me forget about my excitement and love for it. But somehow Gabriel knew, and I didn't, that the park had been reopened for quite some time now. I had slept along the way, because it was a one hour ride, and when I opened my eyes, I saw the huge sign that made the little child in me who loved amusement parks to the moon and back, happy and giddy.
"You sure seem excited." Gabriel mused as we walked inside.
"Of course I'm excited. I love amusement parks and everything in it. I had forgotten just how happy it made me and now my love is making a comeback!" I exclaimed, skipping on my steps a little.
"Well, calm down before you get hurt or-"
Before he could complete his sentence, someone pushed me from the front and I fell backwards. But instead of landing on a hard ground, Gabriel's familiar scent hit my nostrils and I realised he had caught me by my arms.
"You sure are clumsy." He sighed as he steadied me and held my hand.
"I didn't do anything! It was that man's fault." I defended myself.
"It wasn't his fault. Because it has been reopened again, there are lots of people and I surely know you are going to get lost in this crowd so keep holding my hand alright?"
When he said that, I became aware of his hands in mine. It was large and kind of rough but it was also warm and gentle. My face flushed as he pulled me forward through the crowd. What the heck was this feeling?
"Ooh. I want to go there!" I suddenly exclaimed when I took notice of a particular stall. I loved shooting games.
I was about to pay for the bullets when Gabriel stopped me. "I'm the one taking you out on a date. Let me pay."
"Oh right. The whole chivalry-is-not-dead thing every guy does on their first date." I mused despite my heart racing to its maximum.
Gabriel paid for me and I happily took the gun before looking at Gabriel. "What do you want?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Isn't it the guy's line? Where he shows off his shooting skills and wins the biggest teddy bear or something for his date?"
"We don't have a teddy bear sir. I hate those things after my nightmare when I was devoured by one." The guy behind the stall said gravely making both of us fall into a weird silence.
"Right.." I trailed off then looked at Gabriel. "Lucky for you, I am quite proud of my shooting skills that I know I can win you a prize." I puffed out my chest in pride.
Gabriel chuckled and shook his head, somewhat amused. "Surprise me then."
I looked at the objects lying on the shelf when I caught sight of a cute penguin doll. Alright. I aimed the gun at the doll and pulled the trigger.
Unfortunately, I missed.
And there went my pride. Gabriel smiled amusedly while I flushed in embarassment. "It was just a warm up." I growled before aiming the gun again. This time, I missed. Again.
