•So I'll stay. I'll stay even when things are hard. I'll stay despite not knowing what to do. I'll stay because all I know is that I want to hold on to you. I'll stay because I care. I'll stay for you.•
Gabriel's POV:
Sighing, I closed the book I had been reading and glared at the closed door. The faint sound of music from outside entering into my room making me lose concentration while reading. What did he get hosting parties like this? A massive headache the next morning and a house that looked like a tsunami had occured ofcourse.
One of the many things why I hated this place.
I laid down flat on my bed and looked at the unfamiliar ceiling. It was white and arid. My previous room had murals on the ceiling. Something I did with mom.
I almost quickly sat up when the memories came crawling into my mind. Shaking my head slightly, I stood up. I needed to go out for a smoke. I slid on a jacket lying on a chair and put on my shoes. Opening the door, I grimaced when my head started pounding at the too loud music. I'm surprised the neighbours weren't complaining yet. I scowled when I noticed people were already lingering in this hallway. Didn't Mica put a restriction board at the entrance? That son of a bitch.
I avoided contact with the people and finally reached the stairs. The party was in full swing. I sighed again and headed down the stairs, past the sea of people.
"Hey brother." The familiar voice greeted, patting my shoulder.
Scowling, I slapped the hand away and turned to face Micah." I'm not your brother." I growled.
He grinned instead. "Step-brother, brother, doesn't make that much of a difference. I'm glad you came downs-"
"I'm going out for a smoke." I cut him off before going towards the entrance again.
Mica Fletcher should know not to cross the limit. He may not care but I didn't and will never accept him as my step-brother. The family that ruined my family had no place in my heart.
The middle of the hall was fully packed. I had to push sweaty bodies away to reach the entrance and girls clawing their nails on my body didn't help much in this crowd. I decided to go from the back door instead. When I was about to pass the bar, somebody fell onto me. I steadied the girl and was about to go when I froze.
"It's Gabeyyy!" Elliana said, her eyes droopy and a lopsided grin on her face. Stumbling a lot, trying to balance herself, she looked like a mess.
I steadied her when she was about to fall again. "What are you doing here?" I asked, scowling.
"What?" She asked, bringing her ears closer to me. Probably because of the loud music and her brain not able to function properly.
I sighed and led her towards the backdoor and we were soon outside. The fresh air outside calmed me down a little. I hope it did th same to her.
"Why did you bring me here? I wanna go inside." Elliana slurred and was about to go inside when I stopped her.
"It's not safe inside. Calm yourself a bit." I reasoned.
She pretended to think for a moment before she nodded. "Okayy! I don't wanna go inside anymore." She giggled, stumbling again.
