Elliana's POV

"Here you go."

I looked up to see Zach handing me a cup of coffee. I needed that right now. With a grateful smile, I accepted it and took a sip out of it.

"You knew?" I asked after a moment of silence. We both didn't know how to start the conversation so I just took the initiative.

"No I didn't. He just told me today as well." He answered coming to sit beside me. I felt bad for him. He had to come comfort me when he could be spending time with his girlfriend.

"But he's leaving." I whispered, feeling the pain start again in my heart.

Zach hugged me to his side and I gratefully leaned against him, taking in his warmth. It was starting to get cold now.

"Did you hear him out?" He asked which made me freeze in my spot. I didn't hear him out at all. I completely blocked everything out after he told me he was...

"No I didn't." I shamefully said.

"He did a very dick move but I'm sure he must have had his reasons. You should probably talk to him. Maybe he will be leaving and it would be best if you talk. Or he may not be leaving after all." He said rubbing my arms softly.

I chuckled. "You should have seen his expression. He had the look of a person who didn't know what to do anymore. Like he accepted that he was leaving." I paused. "It's painful." I bit my lip hard keeping myself from crying.

Zach sighed and turned towards me, holding my shoulders with both of his hands. "Look Elliana. You can't act like this just because he's leaving. I hated him ever since he went behind my back but I hate him more now because he did this to you. I was ready to accept whatever the past was because you looked really happy with him but I don't think I can forgive him twice anymore."

I frowned and looked at him in confusion. "You didn't talk to him about the past yet?"

Zach shook his head. "I don't need to. I already know what there is to know." He stubbornly said and that made me angry.

I pushed his hands away and glared at him, tears pricking at the corner of my eyes. "You know everything just because Maddison told you everything?" I snapped.

"Why are you bringing Maddison into this?" He asked, frowning as well.

I scoffed. "Well let's see, because she is the one feeding you with lies the whole time?"

"Elliana."

The way he got defensive over her irked me again. She was the one that came between these two friends. She hurt Gabriel and Zach too, the two most important people in my life. So I can't just let him get defensive over her when he didn't even know what really happened. Gabriel was leaving. That was the least I could do for him.

"You don't even care to know what Gabriel had to go through just because you were so in love with Maddison?" I asked, tears finally falling down. "He let you fall in love with the girl he was already in love with. For you! He didn't even tell you about his mother having cancer because you were really happy and he didn't want to worry you. For you! He stood up for you when Maddison talked shit about you because he couldn't just stand it. For you! He didn't even bother telling you the truth about how Maddison came over him because you were fucking believing her over him. He was shocked and hurt because of you yet let you live your life happily even if he had to struggle so much knowing he would have no one to comfort him when his mother would pass away. For you! And you always believed what Maddison had to say right?", I paused as I breathed heavily. "I didn't know you would be such a child Zach."
