21 ~ The Decision

Evie's POV

Hannah told me what happened last night. She cried so much I've never seen before. She didn't remember much though. But Jay trying to save her was something she remembered clearly. She was very thankful but she couldn't tell it because of Fairy Godmother. I couldn't see why she'd wanted to separate them. Jay did nothing wrong! And why Elaina would do something like that to her... And, after all, why she was still in this building after all the things she'd done? There's too much things I didn't get so it's better just support Hannah now and wait until she remembers more.

On my and Hannah's way to the tourney field Jay suddenly appeared in front of us.

"Can we talk?" he asked from Hannah.

"No, you cannot", I said back, "I don't want you back to the Isle."

"I neither. But this wasn't my fault. It was Elaina's and I'm sure after they'll hear that they won't put me there", he responded confidently and grabbed Hannah's wirst. His eyes immediately softened when they landed on her, "Please", he begged looking at Hannah like he forgot I was there. Hannah simply nodded and I left her behind. 'What did he mean with 'after they'll hear'?' I thought with myself when they left.

Jay's POV

I took Hannah under the benches on the edge of the tourney field. There was already pretty much people above us cheering. I had my tourney shirt on (with my lucky number 8 on it), part of my long locks were tie on top of my head and I had earrings. I was little nervous and chewed bubblegum on my mouth. She looked tired but beautiful as always. I smiled myself when I remembered our last kiss.

"Spill then", she cut my thoughts off, "I don't want you in any trouble so do it quickly", she added.

"Well... I want you to tell me why did you kiss me yesterday", I asked with a little cheeky smile.

"I did?" she asked with widen eyes. I could tell she didn't fake the confusion.

"You kissed me right after we fell down... until your boyfriend came to interrupt us", I spat out.

"Oh my gosh!" she covered her mouth with her hand, "I really don't remember much about last night", she whispered fearful.

"It's okay. But when will you tell them that it was Elaina who was threaten you not me?" I started to be nervous. She wasn't alright... There was something different in her.

"I didn't tell that?" she was confused and suddenly got some shivers. Then I noticed her clothes. Who wears something like that in the middle of summer? Something must be wrong...

"Is everything alright?" I asked worried and grabbed her hand.

"I'm just cold... I'll tell them about what Elaina did", she muttered and started to walk away.

I made her turn back and asked, "Are you sure she didn't hit you with that ice?" I looked deeply in her eyes and saw pure fear.

"I-I don't know", she whispered a tear in her eye. I wiped it away with my thumb and placed my hand on her cheek.

"Take care of yourself", I whispered and leaned closer. Then I heard the siren. The match had started. "I have to go", I said and groaned because the moment was ruined.

"Good luck", she whispered to me and smiled. Then I ran to field and got ready to the game.

Hannah's POV

Through the tourney game I was tired and cold and the only thing I wanted to do is go back to my dorm. I saw Chad snogging with Audrey on the edge of the field. Looked like they were back together. I shivered once again next to Evie. She saw it and looked worried. She took my hands on her owns.

"You're hands feel like ice. Are you getting cold or something?" she asked me.

"I feel like I'm", I said tiredly.

She gave me a sympathetic look and glanced back at the field, "Hey, take a look!" she shouted, "Your boyfriend is getting a goal."

"Really?" I said little bit more cheery. He got the goal and we won. I felt sick as hell but I still manged to make my way to Finn. I wanted to congratulate him. He noticed me and started jogging towards me leaving the rest of the team behind. He wrapped his arms around me and grinned when I did the same to his neck.

"You did it good", I said and smiled. He smiled back.

"You wanna give me something for that", he said and pulled me closer, "a kiss maybe?" I saw Jay from the edge of my eye. He was staring at us. I decided to ignore him and I leaned closer. Suddenly Finn gasped and I started to look at him confused.

"Is there something wrong with your hair?" he asked.

"Hey! I just tried to kiss you and that's the reward. You should see your hair!" I started to be annoyed with him.

"No. Yours is turning white!" he yelled back.

"What?!" I shouted and everyone around started to stare at us.

"Open your hair", he whispered to my ear.

"What?" I asked again. Before I noticed he had opened my bun. I gasped when I saw my hair. Then I suddenly felt faint and fell on Finn's arms. He held me tightly and took part of my hair in his hand.

"This is some kind of dark magic. I can feel it", Finn said. Loud enough so everyone around us could hear, "And I know who's behind this", he continued and pointed Jay.

I looked at Finn with widen eyes, "It wasn't him! Don't you get it?" I yelled at him.

"Everything will be alright", he tried to calm me.

"No, it won't like this! This all happened to me because of her!" I shouted and pointed my cousin. Everyone gasped. Elaina gave me an innocent looking glance and started to walk off. What a coward! My feet started to feel like jelly. "Do you really think Jay could do something like that? He cannot do magic", I whispered to Finn.

"Shh", he hissed at me, "Don't worry about that", he pressed me against his chest. The last thing I saw was Fairy Godmother coming towards us until my eyes fluttered close.

I woke up in my own bed. I was covered by blankets and warm clothes but I still felt cold somehow. Then I remember what happened in the tourney field and gasped. Immediately Evie came next to my bed. She was followed by Mal, Finn, Ben, Carlos (with Dude ofc) and even Audrey.

"You're finally awake! I was so worried", Evie said and smiled. I tried to smile back as best as I could.

Finn took my hand on his and squeezed it gently, "Fairy Godmother tries to find out what's with you but I can assure that whatever it is you're gonna be okay", he smiled at me softly.

"Thank you", I said looking around for a specific pair of brown eyes, "Where's Jay?" I asked. They all got quiet and glanced at each others.

Mal swallowed (I knew she would be the brave one), "He's been sent back to the Isle", she whispered looking at her shoes.
