Rin's Friend (Rin Matsuoka x Reader)

Diving Practice

"You wanna see the difference between the two of us now, its going to be like night and day." Rin said throwing his shirt behind him. We got to where the pool was and they just randomly decided to have a race.
"Alright, go ahead and show me." Haru said throwing his shirt behind him.
"You guys are going to swim here?!" Nagisa asked confused.
"It could be infected." I said innocently. I saw Rin glimpse at me before looking at Haru again.

"This isn't a good idea." Makoto said. Haru reached for his belt buckle and started undoing them. I blushed and shielded my eyes. "Haru don't take your pants off..." Mako said before he gasped. "You never actually changed out of them?" Mako asked. I looked back up to see Haru in his black and purple swim suit. I looked at Rin and saw him in a swimsuit as well.

"Great minds think alike." Nagisa stated.
"We have to stop them!" Mako said nervously. I knew we did, but I wanted them to stop themselves.
"But, do we really?" Nagisa questioned.
"Yes!" Mako panicked.
"I don't know, looks okay to me." I said. Mako glared at me slightly before looking at Haru and Rin again, who were running to the platform.
"Haru, get ready," Rin yelled putting his googles on. "Set," with the two of them in position. "Go!"

"And there's no water." Nagisa said as he shone the light into the pool. I smirked knowing it was empty.
"Yeah I know, that's why I was yelling for them to stop." Mako said relived. Rin stepped off the platform and started walking away.

"Tch, What the hell." He muttered to himself. Haru stepped off his pad to stand next to us. "Oh yeah, by the way. You losers come to dig this up?" He said tossing the trophy in the air.
"O-our trophy." Nagisa said.

"I don't need this thing anymore, you want it, it's yours." He was looking at it before he let go of it and let it hit the ground as he walked away. Mako and Nagisa tried to catch it, but they were to far away to get it in time.
"Rin..." Nagisa said sadly. I was boiling with anger and wanted  to run after him, but Mako caught my arm. I glared at him before looking down the corridor Rin walked down. Tears started streaming down my eyes and I couldn't hold in my emotions anymore.

"YOU ASSHOLE!" I shouted as loud as I could, knowing that he heard me. I turned around to bury my head into my brother's chest, while he hugged me and calmed me down.
"He's not at all like I remember." I heard Nagisa say.

~Time skip~

I was looking at the sky with my head rested on Haru's stomach. They were talking about how come Rin was so different. I didn't care but listened anyway.

"I don't know, dream?" Haru suggested.
"No, it really happened!" Mako said.
"Eh, maybe, but it doesn't make sense. Rin never used to act like that." Nagisa said crossing his arms.

"Look alike?" Me and Haru suggested.
"Who happens to know who we are, and challenge you to a race?" Mako pointed out. Haru rolled onto his side, so I lifted my head and put it on his waist.

"Fine, ghost?" Haru suggested again.
"He looked solid." Nagisa said with his knees to his chest.
"Okay, an evil doppelgänger?" Haru said getting tired.
"Oh like in the old days," Mako said getting excited. "It's a game we played as kids. 'Super fusion Doppelgänger!' " Mako stated.

~Third person~

As Makoto showed them what it was and started bickering with the four of them, Gou/Kou was watching them intently.
"So I take it you know that bunch of weirdos?" Her friend asked her. Gou nodded.
"Haruka Nanase, Makoto Tachibana, Nagisa Hazuki, and (Y/n) Tachibana." Gou answered. "All of them used to be apart of the same swim club when they were little kids. It closed down recently, but they're still bound together by their girlish sounding names." Gou finished.

"Why would you  know who they are?" Her friend whispered in her ear.
"It's a secret." Gou answered.
"Yeah, but you do kinda have something in common with them." Her friend pointed out. Gou groaned is annoyance. "Because, I mean you are a girl with a boys name." Her friend stated. Gou grunted.

"I wouldn't be if people stopped calling me Gou!" Gou shouted at her friend.

~Your POV~

We were in the faculty office, except Haru, getting scolded about breaking into the swim club.
"Are you that stupid?!" One teacher yelled at us. "Just because a place is abandoned, doesn't mean you couldn't have asked for permission. What you guys still did is trespassing." The teacher finished. We all looked down in shame and embarrassment.
"Yes sir, sorry." Mako said.
"Yeah, me too." Nagisa said after.
"I'm sorry as well." I said to him. He sighed and looked around.

"Where's Nanase?" He asked.
"Already gone sir he left earlier." Mako answered. The teacher groaned.
"Of course." That's when I saw Mrs.Amakata walk up to us.

"Now, now. I think you've lectured them enough. Let us remember the words of Le Bi. 'One must never raise an empty glass to the moon, it is foolish not to drink the one before you.' The point of that saying is you only live once, so do what you want." We were all confused on what she meant, but kept talking anyway. I looked out the window and saw the small leaves falling out of the tree. I was grabbed by the arm and dragged somewhere. I saw Mako and Nagisa looking for something and decided to go where Nagisa was.

"Rin Matsuoka?" He said aloud looking at the names. I rolled my eyes and walked to Makoto to see what he was doing. "Are we even sure he goes to our school?" He asked.
"No, but if he's back from Australia there's at least a chance he transferred here." Makoto said looking for the name as well.
"I don't remember seeing him at the assembly." Nagisa said.
"Bingo!" Mako said finding it. I was upset that he did, I don't want to see the person who I thought was a friend. Nagisa ran to our aisle.

"Yeah?" Nagisa said hopeful.
"Wait,no." Mako said looking closer. "Gou Matsuoka?" He said in a questioning tone. I was surprised to hear that name. 'I haven't talked to her in a while.' I thought. Mako must have remembered who she was because he was surprised as well to hear the name. "That's Rin's little sister. I remember now." Mako said to himself.

We headed for Haru's house, but ended up seeing Gou at his doorstep. She turned around and saw us. We walked and went under a gazebo to talk.
"Wow, so Gou you go to Iwatobi high now too, huh?" Nagisa asked her.
"Don't call me Gou, it's actually pronounced Kou." Gou said to Nagisa. I looked at the time and saw that I had to leave for practice soon.

"I have to go, I'll talk to you guys later. It was nice talking to you again Gou." I said and started jogging away to the pool I practice at. While I was jogging I saw a person running who had a black and gold jacket on with their hair up in a pony tail. It looked burgundy, but we went opposite directions.

~Time Skip~

Practice was almost over and I was doing my final 10 m dive. I walked up to the edge, put my heels over it, with my body facing forward. I bounced slightly on my feet. Then I pushed off and did an inward, 3 and a half somersault tuck. As I straightened my body to glide through the water easily, I thought to Rin. Why was he acting like that to us? I was under the water and swam up to get a gasp of air. I climbed out of the pool to go to my coach to see how I did.

"You need better form, you don't make your body small enough, so your rotations slow down." He stated. I nodded and went to go change. When I changed I got a text from Mako asking if I wanted to go to Samezuka with them. I replied yes and ran out the door to hopefully catch up with them.

A/n: I kinda got lazy with this one. I need more talking for your character and more alone time with Rin, but all in good time. Till the next chapter, see ya.
