*(Y/n) POV*

After Rei's 'incident', he sat in a little ball with a dark aura surrounding him with a towel on his head. The four of us surrounded him with concerned faces. It was silent, until Nagisa broke the silence. "So, uh, Rei? We didn't know you can't swim." He said sadly. I looked at him with concerned as he flinched at Nagisa's words.

"Well I can't." He snapped his head up and looked at Nagisa. "It's not my fault! I tried to tell you I didn't want to swim today!" He slightly shouted looking away from us. I backed away slightly and looked up to the balcony where Rin was while I listened to their conversation.

"You said you didn't want to swim, but you never said you didn't know how." Nagisa pointed out. I saw Rin looking at something else, so I looked towards the direction, seeing Haru walking to the platform.

"That would have admitted defeat, and I'm not adept to that. There's nothing beautiful about being inferior." He clenched his fist and looked in the other direction. I started to walk off, so I could head up to see Rin. I was walking up some stairs until I saw Rin leaning over looking down, completely oblivious to me being there. I snuck up behind him and jumped on his back. He jumped and looked at me with a glare while he yelled quietly.

"What was that for?!" He asked me annoyed. I put my hands on my hips with a raised eyebrow. Was he really about act like a jerk again. He sighed and looked back over. I looked over as well and saw Haru get into position.

The whistle soon went off and Haru gracefully jumped into the pool. It was like it went in slow motion. I got off the railing and started following Haru down the pool. He always was an idol of mine when I was younger.

Rin and Mako were too, but something about Haru showed me if I did my worst, I wouldn't have to worry about what others think. I walked back to Rin and put my arm in his and put my head on his shoulder. I saw him glimpse at me before ruffling my somewhat dry hair. I giggled and snuggled my cheek into his arm. I looked down slightly to see Rei standing up and watching Haru in respect. Haru had just finished up and I stood up straight. "I better get going. I'll see ya later Rin." I started to walk away, but he grabbed my wrist gently.

"Are you joining their swim club?" He asked looking at me. I looked down and thought for a few seconds. I looked back up at him and smiled.

"Yeah, I'll give it a try." I said with a smile. Rin smiled slightly too.

"We have to go celebrate then. Let me take you out to dinner." He got closer to me and looked down at me. I blushed by the tone of his voice. I nodded happily with a smile, and blush on my face. He smiled and kissed my cheek before looking back over the railing. I touched my burning cheek and walked back to the guys.

~Timeskip~

It was the next day and we were at Rei's track practice again. We all watched as it was his turn next. "Still haven't given up hope, have ya?" Mako asked Nagisa. Nagisa smiles and looks at Rei.

"Of course not. Hey. It should be Rei's turn pretty soon." Nagisa pointed out as Rei finished stretching. A coach called his last name and he stood up straight. "Seems like he's feeling a lot better." Rei walked up and took a deep breath. I focused on his mouth, but he wasn't mumbling anything. Is he not using theory? As he pushed up and was over the bar he spread his arms and legs out looking a little bit like a butterfly. Haru must've motivated him to be more open. When he hit the mat, the bar came down with him.

We were all shocked to see him do that. "He fell..." Mako said what we all saw. Rei put his glasses back on and started walking over to us.

"He's coming over here." Nagisa pointed out. Rei stood in front of Haru standing straight. He looked at him with this hope and determination in his eyes.

"If I'm going to grow, I need to become more like you Nanase." He said confidently. "I want the freedom you have."

We all looked at him in confusion. "It not just freedom." I looked at Haru and he was looking up into Rei's eyes. "It's freestyle." Nagisa and Gou gasped slightly and looked at Haru.

"Right, freestyle." Rei lifted his hand up to his face a fixed his glasses. "Anyway I was hoping you could consider my official request." He took a deep breath and bent down so he was bowing. "May I join your swim club?" He said with a load of confidence. We all gasped and I smiled happily.

"Are you for real?!" Nagisa asked happily. I giggled at his excitement.

"No on here is going to stop you from swimming." Haru said nonchalantly, while he looked in the other direction. I heard Rei gasp a little.

"You heard him, your in." Mako said happily. They finally found a fourth member for the swim club. I was so happy. Rei had stood back up and looked at Nagisa.

"Since you were one of the ones who wanted to recruit me even I was less than corporative, I'd prefer if you were the one to show me the ropes." He asked Nagisa before looking away at the sky with a small blush on his face. "Will you do that Nagisa?" I looked at Nagisa and he looked like a young child on Christmas, and he smiled widely.

"Yeah!" He stood up and wrapped an arm around Rei's shoulder and laughed. "You can count on me!" He continued laughing and I giggled a little bit. I felt my phone vibrating and checked it, seeing Rin texted me.

Does tomorrow work? I don't have any practice in the afternoon.

I felt my face heat up and replied with a little 'sure that's fine.' Was I really about to go on a date with Rin?
