Rin's Friend (Rin Matsuoka x Reader)

The two of us stepped back and looked at the poster Nagisa had just put up. After Haru's mad 'persuasion' skills, Nagisa and I were hanging up posters to spread the work a lot quicker. "We could've gone with the glitter, but it seemed like a little too much." Nagisa pointed out.

"Well you're right about not putting the glitter on, it looks good how it is now." I said. We looked at it like two artists, until we saw Ryugazaki walking to the cubbies with his book again. We followed after him.

"Hey, we meet again. How's it going?" Nagisa asked as he put his shoes in the cubby. "You want some company on the way home. We can tell you about all sorts of things about our new club." Nagisa told as he did a little breaststroke. Ryugazaki looked disinterested while he changed his shoes.

"I have to go to practice now." Ryugazaki said taking the shoes out. "Listen, I'm not joining your club." He said as he fixed his red rimmed glasses with his thumb and middle finger. "Nothing you two say will change that. So stop trying." He said looking at us with his violet eyes before walking away. I sighed.

"Ryugazaki, that's so cold." Nagisa said before looking at his cubby.

"Why don't we try someone else. He seems pretty..." I was saying until Nagisa gasped and gripped my sleeve.

"We have to get the rest of them right now!" Nagisa said before running another direction with me following behind.

~Time skip~

Nagisa just dragged all of us to the track practice, and I still didn't know why. Nagisa was pulling Haru's sleeve while I walked with Gou and Mako. "We're almost there!" Nagisa exclaimed.

"What is it?" Haru asked annoyed.

"We finally found the perfect candidate to join our club!" Nagisa said. I was confused. Ryugazaki said he wanted nothing to do with our club, how is he a perfect candidate?

"He's on the track team?" Gou asked confused as well. She looked at me, but all I could do was shrug.

"Well then he can't join us." Mako told him. Nagisa was to distracted to really care though. I saw Ryugazaki stretching his arms and he was wearing some sort of shades and white,yellow, and black tank top.

"Look! He's over there." Nagisa said leaning forward a little. "This is his fate it's written in the stars!" Nagisa exclaimed. We all tilted our heads.

"Did he used to swim with some other team?" Haru asked.

"Or maybe he has some sort of record?" Gou thought out loud. Nagisa was still full of energy for making this big discovery.

"No, it's because of his name." Nagisa told us. 'His name!? What does anything have to do with his name?' I thought to myself. "His name is Rei Ryugazaki. He's just like us, he's a guy with a girly name." Nagisa explained his weird reason. We all looked at him like he was a little crazy. Nagisa just nodded at us. Gou relaxed a little at looked at Rei's direction.

"Well, on second thought." Gou was saying, but I noticed Gou looking somewhere else. "His deltoids are incredible." She said fan girling. I chuckled a little bit. Gou and her muscle. Mako seemed confused and surprised. We were all looking at Rei, which I thought was creepy.

"You think that's a good reason why he should be in our club?!" Mako asked surprised.
"I think it's a great reason!" Gou backed up. I shook me head at their bickering. Rei finally looked over and he rolled his eyes and got into position.

"Hey, it looks like he's about to jump." Haru told us. We all watched with anticipation. I saw Rei's mouth moving slightly, like he was explaining something. He suddenly went full sprint down the lane, planted his pole, and was lifted off of the ground. He skillfully avoided the bar, and had perfect form. We all gasped in awe. Rei hit the mat, but fell onto his back.

"That's guy is a great diver, and his form on the pole vault is beautiful." Mako exclaimed. We all nodded,but Nagisa looked in awe still.

"Yeah, and the form of his biceps is beautiful too." Gou said with what looked like sparkles surrounding her as she spectated. I smiled at her while Mako questioned what was with her. I looked back at Rei and saw he was mumbling to himself again. Nagisa had a sparkle in his eyes after watching Rei. We all went back to the school, until I saw Mako answer his phone.

"Hello?....Wait, what?....Hello?" Mako answered. He seemed confused. He turned to me. "I think Rin just called me, they said to 'tell (Y/n) to unblock my number'. I don't know, but they sounded pretty worried for the most part." Mako explained to me. I nodded.

"I'll unblock it later. Right now we're busy getting a fourth swimmer, right?" I asked Mako reassuringly. He smiled gently at me, then wrapped and arm around my shoulder. We both laughed on the way back to the school.
