Hard Work

A/n: I'm sorry for slow updates, but I'll start making new chapters again. Anyway on with the story.

I've noticed that we've been in the faculty office a lot lately, but this time it was a important reason. Miss Amakata apparently agreed to be our faculty advisor and put in a charter. She called us all in. We stood anxiously, waiting to hear the news she had.

"Well, I have some important news regarding the swim club charter you submitted." She started. She turned her chair to look at us. "This is an extremely serious matter, so I need you to listen carefully." She said in a serious tone. She turned the paper to face us and she smiled. "Congratulations, your charter was approved!" She said happily. Nagisa was full of joy and Mako was surprised as well. I could Haru was too, but he kept his normal stoic face.

"That's great news!" Mako stated. I gave him a side hug that he returned.

"We owe it all to your awesome swimwear expertise, Mrs.A!" Nagisa said with joy. She looked a little embarrassed at first.

"Yes, well. When I set my mind to something, there's not much that I can't accomplish actually." She said looking away. I smiled because they finally got the club to be approved. "Now, as all official student organizations are required to have four members, you'll need to find another person, and quickly. Miss Tachibana is not joining, correct?" She questioned kindly. I nodded. She looked a little worried and put the paper over her face. "Also, there's one more little issue that you're going to have to address."

"Anything!" Nagisa said excitedly.

"Name it and its done!" Mako backed up.

She got up and we were lead out to where the pool was. When we saw it, it was full of weeds and it looked like there were a few cracks. I was between Mako and Haru while Mrs.A and Nagisa looked at the pool.

"It's in pretty bad shape." Nagisa said. Mako and Haru were surprised a little.

"So we have to..." Mako started.

"Yes, I'm afraid the price of admission is making this pool usable again." Mrs.A explained. Mako and Haru stepped back a little until Nagisa grabbed Mako's sleeve and Mrs.A grabbed Haru's. They turned around with smiles on their faces.

"There's no running away guys!" Nagisa said happily.

"Don't forget, you said you were willing to do anything." Mrs.A pointed out. Mako and Haru looked worried, but they gave in. I put my hands on their shoulders, and gave them a reassuring look.

We got inside the pool and started pulling all the weeds out. I wiped the sweat from my fore head as I saw Haru pull out multiple at a time. By the end of the day, we had a little pile of weeds and there were cracks visible on the pool. Mako pointed out and said we should go to a store to by some sealant.

Mrs.A drove us in her pink car to a pool place called Dolphins, while Nagisa showed us some deals in a magazine. While we walked around Nagisa was showing us a hammer, but I noticed that Haru was missing. Nagisa pointed it out, and we all saw Haru undressing into his swim suit to get in a tank of water. We ran over to him and stopped him before he got in.

The next day we worked on some posters, Nagisa had an abstract piece that said 'Let's swim together. Iwatobi Swim Club'. Mako was weary about it until Haru showed his beautiful piece of art that said 'Join us and swim. Iwatobi High School Swim Club'. I was a little to beautiful because the art club tried to steal Haru.

We went back outside to the pool and I helped Nagisa cut the branches that came threw the gate that surrounded the pool, while Haru and Mako painted the sealant on.

It was lunch time and I headed out to the pool. I looked around and it was looking a lot better, but I saw Haru scrubbing the pool. I smiled and sat on the ledge of the pool and watched him work.

"It's lunch time Haru!" I yelled. He looked over at me and started to work again. I shook my head, but my phone started buzzing. I got a text from Mako.

From:Big Bro
Look up at the roof where we have lunch.

I looked in that direction to see Mako standing up there with a lunch. I waved to him, and he waved back.

~Later that day~

Mrs.A yawned and we all were scrubbing at the pool. "Pools looking great. Keep it up." She said from under her umbrella. I was next to Haru and wiped the sweat from forehead.

"Uh, Ma'am, is there any chance you might do something than give us moral support." Nagisa said to her.

"No there is not! UV rays are an absolute nightmare for complexions like mine. We fair skin folk have to be extremely cautious about the sun." Mako started talking to the two of us.

"With all of us out here working together like this it almost feels like we're back in grade school." Mako said happily.

"Except little kids wouldn't be asked to clean a pool." Haru said stoically. I nudged him a little for ruining the happy mood. Mako just chuckled at that.

"That's true." He stated. I saw Gou walking up to the pool with a bag in her hands. I waved over to her and she smiled and was in awe how the pool looked.

"Wow. Incredible job you guys!" She said full of joy. I stood up and walked over to her. Nagisa ran over a little too.

"Thanks! Are you here to lend a hand Gou?!" He yelled a little to her with his arms up. I chuckled at the fact he called her Gou. She scowled.

"I was going to give you a gift, but since you called me Gou, maybe I'll reconsider." She stated sternly.

"Sorry, it was an accident!" He said embarrassingly. I got out and went to Gou. She smiled when she saw me.

"Hey (Y/n). Why are you here?" She asked kindly. I grabbed the water bottle I brought and drank out of it.

"I may not be apart of the club, but I want to support these three as much as I can." I said wiping my forehead. I heard my phone ringing, but the caller was Rin. I answered, but there was silence. "Hello?" I asked. I walked away from the rest of them to have a little privacy.

"Where are you?" He asked nonchalantly. I sighed.

"You care, why?" I asked seriously. I was tired of him showing up and then he treated me like the rest of them again. He made a growl like noise on the other end.

"I don't. I just wanted to know how far away you are from Samezuka?" He asked tensely. I was angry now. I'm not dealing with his stuff anymore. I hung up the phone and blocked the number. I sighed in frustration, I'll deal with him later. I heard my name get called by Nagisa, so I walked back over to the group.
