Rin's Friend (Rin Matsuoka x Reader)

It was the end of the day, and I was sitting with Nagisa at the station. He wanted me to wait with him in case Rei came by or not. I agreed anyway. I've actually having fun getting the fourth swimmer. I got up from my seat and walked a little distance away to call Rin. I saw he had messaged me over 25 times now. I unblocked and called the number. I rang a couple of times before someone picked up.

"Hello?" I small voice asked cautiously. It didn't sound like Rin, but more like Nitori.

"Hello, is Rin there? This is (Y/n) calling."

*Rin POV*

I just finished swimming practice with Samezuka. The training here is so easy that I practically beat everyone, except the captain Seijuro. I fell down on my bed and relaxed. Nitori place his bag down and sat in my desk chair. We were both exhausted. Nitori finally broke the silence.

"Has (Y/n) called yet?" He asked in a tired tone.

"Not that I know of." I replied. Why didn't she call me after I called Makoto. It's getting me really nervous and pissed off that she won't talk to me. When she said that she didn't want her phone to blow up with messages, what did she think I was going to do. I never really carry my phone with me anyway. We heard my phone ringing, but I expected it to be Gou again. Nitori picked up my phone and answered.

"Hello?" He asked cautiously. I shut my eyes, trying to fall asleep. I heard Nitori gasp slightly. Like I thought, another call from Gou."Oh, Hello (Y/n)." Wait, WHAT!?! I opened my eyes and looked at him quickly. He was smiling. "I'm sorry, but Rin and I just got back from practice, so...."

"Nitori! Give me the phone!" I said sternly. I bolted up and over to him and snatched the phone out his hand. I looked at him and saw him smile a little. I rolled my eyes, but put the phone to my ear. I heard her adorable laugh through the phone. I smiled. I can't believe I've liked her for this long.

*(Y/n) POV*

"I guess you aren't tired anymore." I teased. I just heard their little debacle, and it made my day. Rin was one person that would always make me smile.

"Oh no. Sitting up hurt like hell. What are you up to?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not answering that." I told him. I crossed my arms, but kept the phone to my ear. He sighed on the other end.

"I'm sorry for what I said to you a few days ago. I don't know what I was thinking. I hope you can forgive me." He kinda forced out. I rolled my eyes and smiled.

"I accept for now. But I expect a heart full apology in the future." I teased again. He scoffed. I suddenly heard Nagisa say hello to Rei. "Oh, I have to go right now. I'll talk to you later." And I hung up after. I went back over to where Nagisa was, and Rei just saw me. He rolled his eyes, but looked at his book again. " Hello Ryugazaki." He looked at me quickly then back to his book.

"Hey since we're friendly now, why don't you call me Nagisa and her (Y/n)." Nagisa asked. Rei fixed his glasses again.

"I will do no such thing. Because the fact is we are not friends." Rei said coldly. We were all standing side by side.

"Well, yeah. Not now, but..." Nagisa started taking a step next to him. I took a step next to Nagisa. "If you just join...."

"I'm not joining." Rei said sternly taking a step away. We took a few more steps towards him. "The only activities that I find interesting are the ones that are truly beautiful." That confused me a little bit. He only likes things that are beautiful?

"Like track?" Nagisa questioned. We stopped taking steps, but looked at Rei with curiosity.

"Yes. With track you can transcend the mundane realities of daily life by devoting yourself to the pursuit of beauty." I was kinda lost on what he was saying. "For those who master theory will achieve perfect form." Rei explained to us. He seemed pretty content with explaining that to us. Nagisa seemed as confused as I am.
