*(Y/n) Pov*

I ended up walking to the pool by myself today because Mako wanted to go with Haru. I would've gone, but I wanted my sleep so I went to meet up with them later. I was walking groggily and yawned slightly, still feeling tired. I stretched my arms over my head, to feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pulled it out to see Rin calling me.

I answered it and put up to my ear, only to hear heavy, but slow breathing. I made a weird face and stopped walking. "Hello?" There was still the slow breathing. "Rin?" 'He's probably asleep.' I thought to myself. I was confused to how the phone was dialed. I heard him groan and yawn. I giggled at his drowsiness.

"Oh crap, hello?" He asked into the phone with his voice sounding deeper. I started walking again while I chuckled. He groan again hearing me on the other end and I heard a loud thump.

"Good morning to you too Rin." I said to him. He mumbled a 'morning' out. "How did you sleep?" I asked jokingly.

"Good, sorry about the call." He said to me. I rolled my eyes.

"How did I get this call anyway?" There was silence on the other end for a few seconds, making me worried.

"I wanted to call you last night, but I guess I fell asleep before I could." He finally said. I nodded my head knowing he couldn't see me. "We still on for tonight?"

"Yeah, at least I think so." I said to him. He hummed and sighed heavily.

"I'll pick you up around 6. Dress comfy." He said bluntly before hanging up. Rude much. I rolled my eyes again and placed my phone into my pocket, not noticing I had arrived to the school. I walked to the pool to see Mako and Rei looking over a paper. I walked over and went between them.

"Butterfly breasts? What?" Rei said confused by Mako explaining the Medley relay. Mako pointed to the paper at the abbreviations.

"Ba for backstroke, Br for breaststroke, I'm sure you've caught onto the pattern." Mako finished.

"Quite, Fr is for the front crawl, yes?" Rei said fixing his glasses. I smiled and took the paper.

"It actually stands for freestyle, where swimmers pick their strongest, or most comfortable stroke." I explain pointing to the rest of the regimen.

"With that said the front crawl is generally the fastest one." Mako explained taking the paper again and pushing me away jokingly. I laughed at walked over to the bathrooms to change into my bathing suit. It wasn't anything special, but it was fine for the time being. I walked over and threw my hair up. They seemed pretty surprised when I walked out, except Haru and Gou. Nagisa ran over to me with a sad, but annoyed expression.

"Does this mean you're apart of the club now?!" He asked me. I nodded with a smile, but he groaned and put his head into my shoulder. "Why now? We already got Rei as our fourth swimmer."

"I thought it would be fun. And besides..." I pushed Nagisa back and ruffled his hair. "Where else am I going to be able to swim during the school year." I put my hands up and walked away from him, heading over to Gou. "Do you want me to follow the same regimen?" I asked her.

"That would be a lot of help, since I'm not good at making these types of things." I nodded my head and put my old swim cap with a pair of goggles that Mako gave me a few years ago on. I stepped up to the platform and hunched over. "Wait, (Y/n)! I need your times!" I heard Gou say before I dived into the water. I started doing the front crawl, or freestyle stroke at a steady pace.

I did about three laps and couldn't have felt more relaxed. I forgot of what just swimming alone felt like. I stopped at the opposite end of the pool taking a few gasps of air before removing my cap and googles. I pulled myself up with a grunt and laid on my back feeling tired already. Man, I'm really out of shape, especially since I've been doing diving for the longest time. I kicked my feet in the water gently.

I heard a few footsteps waddle over to me and felt a shadow over my face. I opened one eye, still taking deep breaths to see Nagisa leaning over looking at me curiously. "I guess that makes more sense to why you didn't want to join before." He said sheepishly. I sighed and started snickering, before it turned out into a full out laugh, with Nagisa joining me.

I stopped and sighed looking at the sky before sitting up and walking with Nagisa back to the others. Nagisa got onto a platform and dove into the water. I saw Rei doing a couple, okay maybe not a couple but quite a few stretches, and I saw Haru looking at the regimen with Gou.

I walked over and looked at it too, but Haru got onto the platform again before diving in. "Yep, he's interested." She said with a slight giggle. I giggled too, and saw Mako get out of the pool. I was going to run over to him, but I saw Rei stretching still. I guess I wasn't the only one to notice.

"How come you're still stretching Rei?" Nagisa asked getting out. I saw Rei look over at him out of the corner of his eye.

"I just want to be as safe as possible." He said looking over at us.

"You'll be fine, it's okay if you just want to take things slow..." Mako started to say.

"Don't worry about me." Rei stood straight and pulled his glasses off. "It took all weekend, but I'm confident I mastered the theory." He said putting his blue goggles over his energetic violet eyes. "It's just a matter of putting it into practice." He started walking away from us.
