The classes seemed to take longer to pass that day to Camila. She just wanted the end of the second period so she could be with Lauren again. She was in no way interested in learning what will happen when the global warming gets worse, she just wanted to get out of there.

Not as fast as she wanted but the bell rang and the class was dismissed soon after. She shoved her things into her backpack and walked out of class. To her surprise, Lauren was already waiting for her on the other side of the hallway, leaning against some lockers. She was distracted in her phone and only noticed Camila when this one approached and touched her arm.

"Hey", Camila greeted.

"Hey", Lauren gave her a little hug, "thank you, for the note."

Camila blushed, she forgot that now Lauren would actually talk about it with her, she was not anonymous anymore. This made her retract a bit, but she shrugged it off. "you're welcome"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

Lauren was pretty nervous, it was ridiculous since the question she wanted to make was a normal and simple thing but she was afraid that Camila didn't want to spend a lot of time with her and that she would end up being rejected. Then, she remembered the promise she made to herself of not letting her shyness come between something she wanted to say or do with Camila. "Do you want to have lunch with me?".

Camila looked at her with an expression of whom did not expect that one coming, but smiled nonetheless. "I would love to", she said closing the space between them, involving Lauren's torso with her arms. "Were you actually that nervous because you wanted to ask me to have lunch with you?", Camila mumbled against the other girl's shoulder.

"Who said I was nervous?"

Camila pulled back and looked at Lauren with an 'are you kidding me?' expression. "you look like you just saw a ghost and your hands are shaking.".

Both girls looked at Lauren's hands and they were, indeed, shaking. Lauren quickly shoved her hands in her hoodie's pocket. "Okay, yeah, maybe I was nervous."

They both laughed and joked around about the topic a little more before the bell rang. Luckily, Camila's classroom was near Lauren's, so this time it would be her to accompany Lauren to her class. They started their way down the hallway and Camila was caught off guard when she felt Lauren reach her hand and entwine their fingers.

Camila blushed violently at the action and even more when Lauren pulled her softly against her side and kissed her head. "You're beautiful, you know that?". Yup, Camila was definitely blushing now. She had her god damn crush telling her she was beautiful, what did you expect?

When Lauren saw that Camila just looked at her feet awkwardly and remained silent, she decided to let it go, she thought that maybe Camila had felt uncomfortable and she definitely didn't want that.

Soon enough, they were arriving at Lauren's classroom. They kind of stood weirdly in the middle of the hallway, not knowing what to do or to say. Camila was still embarrassed by what Lauren had said and her brain had not come back from the shock yet, so she suddenly wrapped her arms around Lauren. She hoped that Lauren got the message that she was silently thanking her, that the hug was enough to express what Camila couldn't put into words. She was slightly hoping that Lauren got the message that Camila actually liked her as well, but she felt that it was a little bit early to those kinds of confessions.

Lauren wrapped her arms around Camila's shoulders and kissed her temple, but they soon had to part ways because they saw Lauren's teacher entering the classroom, so she pulled back and said, "Meet me at the tree at lunch, ok?".

Camila nodded and stood in her place watching the prettiest girl in school walk away from her, almost tripping on her feet clumsily. Camila giggled and then made her way to her own class.

Camila spent the whole class thinking about how lucky she actually was: she had a corresponded 3-years crush. Lauren was just so cute and adorable, so nice and smart; she smelled like vanilla and her hugs were comforting and warm. What could she ask more?

Were they a thing now? Were they dating? Camila's head was filling with questions like these. Yeah, they went on a date, but are they, like, dating? Although she was very much interested in knowing the answers to this questions, she wouldn't have the guts to ask Lauren that. What if Camila was already rushing things? They had kissed already, was that too fast? Maybe not, since Lauren was the one who initiated it, but who knows? Camila didn't, that was sure.

The lunch break had finally arrived and Camila almost ran to the tree where she knew Lauren had lunch every day. To her surprise, Lauren was already there. How could she be so fast getting out of the classroom? Camila shrugged it off and made her way to the beautiful girl sat under a tree that was watching her approach.

They greeted each other and started to eat their respective lunches, talking animatedly about their Art teacher that had a terrible taste in clothing. And then, when Camila thought that Lauren couldn't be any more perfect, she snorted while laughing. Lauren was so embarrassed by it that she covered her mouth with her hand, eyes looking at her lap and the laugh died. Camila felt bad for Lauren being embarrassed by that since it was no shame and Camila found it adorable and cute. So she placed a hand on Lauren's knee and gave it a little squeeze.

Lauren still wasn't meeting Camila's eyes, so this one spoke. "You're cute, you know?". When Lauren still wouldn't look at her, Camila put down her sandwich and search in her backpack until she found a pen and her notebook. She opened it on a clean page and wrote:

You're like a cloud.
When I look at you,
I see so many wonderful things.

Then, she folded the paper and extend it to Lauren who looked at her with a puzzled face, but promptly grabbed the note and opened it. Her embarrassment was quickly exchanged with a happy expression and she looked at her side, at Camila, who was looking at her with such adoration than Lauren could swear that it was the most adorable thing she ever saw in her life. Not knowing how to thank properly, she placed one of her hands on Camila's neck and pulled the girl into a soft yet passionate kiss, where their lips met in a slow dance.

'This girl is going to be the death of me', Lauren thought while she pulled Camila even more against her, 'she definitely will'.

When their lips disconnected, Lauren stayed just staring at Camila, taking in all her facial features, all the colors that her eyes held. When she saw Camila softly biting her own lip, Lauren couldn't hold it inside her anymore.

"Camila?".
