A couple of days later, Lauren woke up to a soft pair of lips on her neck. Instantly smiling, she let her girlfriend, who was cuddled to her side, continue with the kisses, dropping a hand on the girl's waist to pull her closer.

"Good morning", Camila said, smirking against Lauren's skin.

"Good morning indeed", Lauren answered, finally opening her eyes to meet her girlfriend's. "Is it time to get up already?".

Camila looked adoringly at Lauren, the girl was extra cute when she was sleepy, with swollen eyes and red marks on her face made by the pillow during the night. "No, we still have a couple of minutes left."

Lauren saw Camila smile mischievously and leaning in for a kiss, but Lauren was faster in reacting and kissed the girl's nose instead. Camila gave her a pout and Lauren couldn't help but giggle, "Don't you dare, morning breath is still a thing, you know?".

Camila sighed in defeat and settled for a thigh hug, burying her face on the crook of Lauren's neck, making Lauren shiver with the contact of Camila's warm breath hitting her neck. "You know what day it is, today?", Camila asked.

"Hm, January 9th?", Lauren asked, raising an eyebrow. Camila did the same in response, more to try to hide the little bit hurt she was for her own girlfriend not remembering their special date. Lauren's confused expression turned into a huge smile and the girl kissed Camila's forehead, "Of course I remember, why would I forget?".

"Can you believe that we're together for 2 months now? It went so fast, I feel like we're together for like a year.", Camila stated.

Both girls immersed in thoughts. Was it possible that 2 months and a few days prior, they weren't even speaking? Look at them now, after all the struggles they had, after a lot of ups and downs, they're together and it's only been 2 months. Nobody would say that they didn't know each other for that long, they would rather say that they had been friends or lovers since that second day at school, 3 years before.

"What are we going to do today? I don't want this day to be like our one-month anniversary though.", Camila asked, remembering how one month before they had broken up.

Lauren giggled softly remembering that too, it was kind of funny to think that their story would be over like that. "Whatever you want, after school and after picking up Hannah I'm all yours."

"What if we do a movie marathon with her? I feel like we haven't been very present lately."

They were interrupted by Lauren's alarm going off. Both girls groaned in response, too comfortable where they were to want to get up and get ready for school. Lauren agreed with the idea, she had too noticed that they haven't really hung out with Hannah lately. They agreed in inviting Danielle and Toby as well since they haven't seen the other couple since Toby's party.

Not much after, both girls were getting ready along with Hannah, who was in an unusual good mood for such early part of the day. When they were finished, Lauren left the house with Hannah to drop the kid at school while Camila stayed a bit behind. She was going on her own car so she could go visit her mother at the hospital after school while Lauren picked up Hannah.

Camila sat on the couch scrolling through her Instagram feed mindlessly. She saw a bunch of photos of some couple and couldn't help but smile. She remembered that, a few months ago, she would see those photos and wish that the couple could be her and Lauren and now they had their own pictures like that. Camila felt proud of herself for not giving up on the girl of her dreams along the 3 years, not that she had made something about that on that time but at least she didn't give up.

The way her heart fluttered when she would see Lauren passing by in the hallways, the way a smile appeared on her face when she saw the girl having lunch at the tree, the way her heart would melt when she saw Lauren smile while opening one of the folded papers that Camila had left in her locker... Those were memories that Camila would treasure forever, that she would keep with her forever no matter what happened.
