On the next morning, Lauren found herself in bed without being able to fall asleep again. She hated to admit it but she was nervous to meet Danielle and Toby. The only people of her age that she interacted with was pretty much just Camila, and Lauren wanted to make a good impression to their new friends, not for her because she still didn't care about the amount of friends she had, but for Camila because the girl seemed genuinely excited about this new bond. Lauren couldn't ruin that, Camila needed it, she needed something new.

She rolled on her side and stayed facing Camila who was still sound asleep. Lauren just stared at her, taking in all her features, all her beauty, and smiled. She smiled at the sight because things could be rough but Camila was still there, with her, at the end of the day and at the beginning of the morning. Lauren reached for Camila's cheek and ran her thumb on it a couple of times just enjoying the smooth skin of her girlfriend, and then kissed her forehead and rolled on her side again to get out of bed. When she was about to put her feet on the ground, she felt a hand grab her arm and pulling her back to bed.

"Stay", Camila mumbled, sleepily.

Lauren chuckled at her girlfriend's childish and sleepy voice but laid back on the bed nevertheless. Camila instantly cuddled up on Lauren's side, burying her face on Lauren's neck where she kissed softly a couple of times making Lauren shiver with the contact.

"Did our alarm went off yet?", Camila asked.

"No, you can still sleep for another hour or so.", Lauren answered, kissing the top of Camila's head and pulling the girl closer.

"I don't want to."

Lauren smiled, "Then why did you make me stay in bed with you?".

"Because I just want to lay here with you all day."

"Yeah, I wanted that too, we don't have one of those days in ages but it can't be today either, you have an appointment in a few hours."

Camila sighed, she knew that and it was exactly why she wanted to stay in bed. She wanted to get better, just like Lauren had shown that she could the night before, but she would have to talk about feelings and memories and Camila was not really in the mood for that. "I know. But can we stay here until that?".

"Of course babe."

"How's your arm?", Camila asked, remembering the events of the previous day.

"It still hurts a bit but nothing major."

Camila decided not to continue with the subject, she believed Lauren but she knew that, even if it was hurting like a bitch, she would act all tough. "Can I ask you something?".

"Sure."

"But you have to promise to answer honestly, even if it means that I'm going to get hurt with it.", Camila explained, lifting her head so she could see Lauren.

Lauren was not sure about this because she, of course, didn't want to hurt Camila but gave in, this was probably something important for Camila. "I promise."

Camila bit her bottom lip and gathered her thoughts, trying to figure out what was the best way to ask Lauren what she wanted to know. She decided to just say whatever was on her mind. "Do I, like, bother you?", she asked, but had a new thought before Lauren could even say something, "Like, for staying at your house for so long, I guess."

Lauren raised an eyebrow and chuckled. She kissed Camila's forehead and the tip of her nose and said, "Of course not, I like having you here."

"Are you sure?", Camila asked, her voice full of doubt.

"I'm 100% sure. I promised to be honest and I am being honest. But why do you ask?".

"Oh, nothing.", Camila answered, burying her face again in Lauren's neck. She didn't want to tell Lauren what her grandparents had told her but when Lauren called her name in a disgruntled tone, Camila gave in and told Lauren the conversation she had with the old couple, even the invite to go live with them.
