Camila felt Lauren kneel behind her, grabbing her hair in a loose ponytail and moving it to the side, while Lauren rubbed her back soothingly. Hannah came running to the bathroom seconds after but Lauren politely asked her to wait for them in the living room. Camila was still throwing up and Lauren had to admit that she felt bad for her girlfriend.

When Camila felt that she was done, she flushed the toilet and Lauren helped her get up so she could wash her face and brush her teeth. Once she was done once again, she turned around and Lauren involved the girl in a warm hug. "Are you okay?", she asked.

Camila hugged her even tighter, she had that habit since day one. "I feel like shit", she answered, chuckling at the end. "My throat is sore and my stomach definitely had better days."

Lauren pulled back to look at Camila and caressed her cheek, "Well, lucky for you I used to throw up all the time a few years ago, so I'm a pro at what to do to make you feel better."

"And what's that?"

"Drink water, take a bath, eat something and watch a movie.", Lauren said, kissed Camila's forehead and turned around to fill the bathtub. "Wait here". Lauren got out of the bathroom and returned shortly after with a glass of water in hand, handing it to Camila. "It's important to stay hydrated."

Camila smiled at how concerned Lauren actually sounded, she just threw up and it was not that big of a deal but Lauren wanted to make it right. As always.

Once the bathtub was full, Lauren left Camila in her bath while she went to the kitchen to prepare some rice with steamed fish, that was her go-to food after throwing up because her mother always told her that she had to eat something soft for the stomach. At least it worked.

While that was happening in the kitchen, Camila was laying in the bathtub thinking about the reason of the unexpected sickness. One second she was okay but in the other, she felt all of it climbing her throat at a fast pace. Her conclusion was that the cause of it had to be the hamburger she had for their lunch at McDonald's and that she would be good in the next couple of hours.

She wasn't.

4 days after Camila was still throwing up occasionally. She had a bit of a fever every once in a while and Lauren assigned herself as Camila's doctor. Camila found it endearing how Lauren was taking care of her - making her soup, preparing her baths, cuddling while making movie marathons, driving her to see her mother at the hospital, everything. Lauren would leave in the morning to go to school, always leaving soup in the fridge for Camila, and would always run back home once the classes were over. Camila always laughed at the memory on the first morning that Lauren had to leave for school and, therefore, leave a sick Camila in bed.

"I'll be like Kim Possible: call me, beep me if you wanna reach me, when you wanna page me it's okay, whenever you need me baby, call me, beep me if you wanna reach me.", she sang to Camila that morning, before leaving the house.

Although Camila did not enjoy one bit of being sick, she refused to go to the hospital, contrary to Lauren's wants and pleads. Their agreement was that, if Camila was not better until Friday, she would go to the hospital to be checked up. That was 2 days away.

Without nothing to do, Camila laid down on the couch to watch a random TV show, which happened to be The Big Bang Theory. On that episode, Bernadette and Howard are testing their new hot tub when they find a wild rabbit inside and it bit Howard's finger, making him leave the area. Bernadette took the opportunity and whispered to the rabbit on her arms, "We'll find another time to tell him I'm pregnant."

Camila smiled when she heard it, she was always happy with everything that had to do with pregnant women or babies in general. She remembered that, when she was little, she used to pretend that she was pregnant because Camila couldn't wait for that time of her life to come. She would have a fake belly, get moody, get desires of weird food and she would even pretend the morning sickness. Morning sickness, Camila repeated the expression in her head.

Just like that, a switch turned on inside her. She had, in fact, been throwing up a lot. She was only having those kinds of thoughts because it was, indeed, possible since the whole dad thing happened. She grabbed her phone and googled when does morning sickness start during pregnancy and, after reading some testimonies, the conclusion was that it appeared between the fourth and the thirteenth week of the pregnancy. Camila did the math, she could be between 4 to 10 weeks already.

Camila froze on the spot. Was she really doing the math to know how many weeks she could be pregnant of? Camila clearly didn't know what was to be scared in the past, because she was experiencing a new type of fear in that moment, a type of fear that makes you throw up. And so she did, she was throwing up and crying at the same time with so much intensity that she didn't even hear someone enter the house. Only when she felt a presence near her and someone grabbing her hair with thick hands was that she realized that Lauren's dad was home, and helping her.

"You okay, kiddo?", the man asked when Camila was not throwing up anymore, just literally hugging the toilet.

Camila pulled back and sat on the ground with her back on the wall and sighed, loudly, while shaking her head. "I can't believe I'm saying this but I might be pregnant."

When she saw the confused look on the man's face, Camila proceeded with explaining why she thought that that was a possibility and they end up on the couch, a cup of tea in hand and talking about everything in general. Camila told the man all about what has been on her mind lately with the trial, her mom, college and even Lauren.

Lauren's dad was, surprisingly, a pretty good listener and a good shoulder to cry on. She finished the main conversation and her cup of tea with pretty much half of her big problems resolved. One thing that had been on Camila's mind was what would happen to her and her mother once the woman was released from the hospital. Her mother had been gone for so long that Camila was sure she had been fired and they couldn't go back to their house since her dad was there. Lauren's dad, when he heard this, immediately offered his home to the woman as well and said that he was going to talk to her personally. He would also stop by at a pharmacy or something to get some pregnancy tests before Lauren got home.

That left Camila alone one more time, a complete nervous wreck trying to decide what so badly could she had possibly done in a previous life to be punished on this one with being pregnant of her own father. How messed up that was?
