Awakening inside the pretend forest, Leila sighs, hoping something would become real soon. She walks around, trying to understand the fake forest better. She figured out that things can be stood on by jumping up on them, but if you walked through them, it was just a hologram filled with numbers and green lines. The favorite place she loved was a small lake at the corner of the metal interiour. The waves lapped in the projected wind and the hologramic moon above made the surface shimmer with life, yet she knew it was dead inside this Dusk Ball.
She also figured out that she was indeed smaller inside the ball than outside of it. She knew because while walking around, she made it toward the middle where a small, nearly invisible green line stood straight up and down. The top reached the height in the Dusk Ball and she could only assume it went straight to the bottom as well.
One day while exploring, Leila felt wind, real wind. She turned around and saw that a blinding light was coming from behind her. She began running toward the light, waiting for the red lines to grab her. Sure enough, they were streaking down toward her and enfolding her. They shot out of the Dusk Ball, enlarging Leila to normal size until she felt ground beneath her. She stood with her pelt prickling and a low grown coming from her.
A new opponent stood in her way this time: a croconaw. The blue and pale yellow skin of the big jaw Pokemon. The red spikes were noticed right away by the shiny umbreon. Sitting down, Leila stared at the water type Pokemon, her golden eyes bored. Turning her head around, she looked at Natalie boredly.
"Use Quick Attack, Leila." Natalie said calmly.
"No." she replied stubbornly.
"Yes, or you'll learn the hard way." the trainer said, this time with more authority.
"I'd rather not learn at all." Leila hissed, turning back toward the water type Pokemon.
Without warning, the croconaw was using Aqua Jet. It hit Leila straight on because of her stubbornness issues. Now, Leila was a feet away, drenched in water and slowly standing up. The golden eyes glaring back and forth between the croconaw and Natalie.
"You could have warned me!" Leila growled.
"You wanted to learn the hard way." Natalie replied.
"I said I didn't want to learn at all!" the umbreon snapped.
"That counts as learning the hard way."
"I'll train with you, as long as I get more free time." Leila grumbled.
"Deal."
"Wha- Deal? That quickly?" Leila gasped.
"Yeah? So?" Natalie shrugged as she returned croconaw to his Net Ball.
Putting her ears down, Leila stood by Baron, who stared at her with red eyes before getting up and begin to walk around. Being bored, the umbreon followed quickly, watching the houndoom's pointed arrowed tail tip to show him the way. Through the woods, Leila found herself smiling from the freedom again. She saw a small pack of pikachu's playing with a berry being tossed back and forth.
A few bug type Pokemon were crawling on the tree trunks of the forest and bird Pokemon were soaring up in the sky. The sky today was a bright blue and there was a few small clouds floating in the upmost breeze.
Baron lead her to a meadow with a few sentret's, rattata's, and two miccino's running around and playing. The minccino's stopped as soon as they saw the houndoom but began playing again when they saw Leila. The sentret's ran into their burrows to hide from the two new Pokemon. Rattata's looked their way, but didn't do nothing much.
"What is this place?" Leila asked quietly.
"Whatever the Pokemon around here call it." Baron replied, disappearing behind another bush.
