Leila was standing ready to fight, her golden eyes staring at nothing. Natalie was behind her, waiting for Leila's signal. Finally, she looked at her trainer and Natalie walked over on the other side of Leila, holding a normal Pokemon Ball. Her fur bristling, the Pokemon Ball being thrown into the air, then being caught by Natalie's careful hand, Leila nods her head.
Natalie smiles and throws the Ball toward Leila. "Violet, go!" as soon as the words were out of her mouth, the ball opened up and the red light comes out, showing a dark grey pelt with red paws and a red hair top. The black around it's neck. the dark type Pokemon begins growling.
Natalie smiles and walks back around behind Leila. "Leila, use Iron Tail," Natalie hardly spoke.
She got the message and she began running toward the sleek dark grey fox Pokemon. Her tail began to turn silver and she jumped into the air, turning for a front flip, and whacking down on the ground. "Huh?" Leila says, shocked that the Zorua left so quickly. Turning around, she saw the Pokemon standing in front of Natalie with no damage marks what so ever.
"You need to watch your opponent, not attack for no reason. Have a reason to attack. I choose Violet because she's quick and agile, just like you. Find her weak spot like I'm gonna let her do. Keep an eye on the opponent." Natalie said, raising her voice slightly and staring straight at Leila.
Leila met eye contact and growled, her fur bristling more.
"Violet, use Shadow Ball." Leila heard Natalie whisper.
Violet jumped up in the air very high and quickly. Leila barley had any time before she was smacked on top of the head by a large dark purple ball from above. She was knocked down to the ground hard, her head hitting the ground first.
"Ooooo." Leila growls, getting up and glaring at Violet. Her fur was bristling and she was ready to attack. Standing up fully with a low growl, she begins to run toward the dark grey Pokemon, becoming quicker with each step. Soon, wind was noticeable as she began using Quick Attack. Jumping at the end, she smacks down on the ground again, not hitting Violet. "How?!" Leila screached, getting up and turning around.
"You need to listen, Leila! Not attack when you get angry! That's what your weakness is!" Natalie shouted.
Growling, Leila sat down and glared at the trainer and Pokemon. "Why did you have to catch me?" the umbreon growled lowly.
"I wanted to prove myself that I can train a cocky and arrogant shiny Pokemon Ike you. Shiny's think they own the world but they don't." Natalie murmured, her arms across her chest again, staring at Leila.
"I don't own the world. I don't even want to think that." Leila growled.
"Then listen and you won't get hurt that often! I can feel your energy seeping when you hit the ground. If you wait for my signal, you won't hit the ground." Natalie said, her arms now hanging down and her hands clenched in fists.
"Then why did you just allow me to be hit with a Shadow Ball?" the shiny umbreon murmured.
"To see if you can move as fast as your temper comes and goes." Natalie replied smugly.
"Let's get back to training then."
"Ok, fine, but not with Violet."
"What!"
"Yes, no more Violet. I'm going to send out Doyle."
"Doyle?" Leila asked.
"You'll see."
Leila stood back up and walked out to the middle of the clearing, waiting. Natalie grabbed another Dusk Ball from her pockets and threw it in the air, revealing a poochyena. The grey and black dog looking Pokemon had his head toward the ground while his fluffy tail was sticking up. His mouth was half open and his eyes were staring at the shiny umbreon.
