The rest of the week passed in a split of time and before I knew it, it was Saturday morning.
This week was like Tuesday was. Me and my friends got picked up by Micah and we drove to and from school. We did some fun stuff in between. We filled our time with laughter and hugs and held hands. My relationship with Micah grew and it was the best feeling ever. I wanted to do it all again.
I walked into the kitchen, dressed and ready for the day. I smiled and saw my dad's door closed. He is sleeping in? I guess so. This is rare for my father.
I did almost everything he would have done. I grabbed the paper and made some hot chocolate. The sun was rising and dew was still fresh on the ground. My feet and Goddard's paws were wet when we walked back inside.
I opened the paper and just wanted the comics when something caught my eye.
"RAMPAGE GOT A GIRLFRIEND"
I looked confused as I saw a picture of me and Micah holding hands. We were laughing and having a normal day for us. They captured a good look of Micah's face but only caught my hair, thankfully. I was confused still. They must have the wrong people. I decided to read it anyways.
"Some say, that they saw Chance Rampage with a girl. Some say and believe that it is his girlfriend but others believe it might be a relative. Some say that Rampage couldn't get s girlfriend from his cage fighting and record. Anyone who knows him at least."
It went on for a few more paragraphs but I stopped there. I have to talk to Micah about this.
Feeling weird about this, I took the paper and took out all the parts where it talked about me or Micah. I wouldn't want my dad to see yet. I was kinda panicking.
I ran up the stairs and grabbed my phone. I called the man who must have something to do with this.
"Yeah?" Micah asked groggily.
"Hey, Micah. I was wondering, could we meet somewhere?"
He coughed and heard him move. He sounded happier. "Yeah. Where?"
I had to think logically. We weren't really safe in public considering that we already got caught. I didn't know anywhere that was safe but I didn't want him to come here concerned about his sanity. I felt guilty for thinking that but knew it was somewhat true.
"How about the park? By the rocks where I first saw you?"
"Okay. I will be there in a few. Bye, Shortie."
I smiled and hung up. How was I gonna ask him about this? I hoped he didn't get upset. I hope it wasn't true and they got the wrong people.
I slipped on my shoes and did a check over in the mirror. I had on some black yoga pants and gray shirt. I threw on a black sweatshirt. I left in unzipped and looked down at my feet. I only had a few pairs of shoes and I was surprised to find some Nike's. They were low dunks and had white, gray and black.
I grabbed my phone and walked back downstairs. I wrote my dad a note saying I was going for a walk and I wasn't taking the dog. I slipped the paper into my coat pocket, folded up. I started to make my way to the park.
I sighed when I saw him waiting. He was skipping rocks and looked amazing. It was still morning and I could tell he was one to sleep in. He had on a pair of dark jeans and a wife beater. He looked good and this started to make sense. His weight. His height. His muscles. He could be the cage fighter...
I walked up to him and he didn't hear me.
"Hey..."
He spun as fast as possible and smiled at me. I tried to play a smile on my lips but I could tell it wasn't good enough. His smile faltered and he looked confused.
