After the incident with the paper on Emily's locker, the four decided to stick together until further notice to make sure that nothing were to happen to either one of them. The flight to New York is leaving today, which is the day before the parade, to give the club members time to look around the city and to relax a little bit before the parade begins. Emily, being herself, got everything ready the day that she heard about the trip, and so she had nothing else to do. Instead of staying at the orphanage, Emily decided to quickly make the kids food and then head off to Anne's house to help her pack and to meet the others at the airport together with Anne. Emily grabbed her small suitcase, got onto her bike, and rode off to Anne's in a extremely uncomfortable way. Thankfully, Emily made it to Anne's house in one piece and then headed on in to help pack. By this time, Emily was already quite close with Anne's parents, and so she could just walk on in with little warning. When Emily opened up Anne's door she found Anne laying on her bed sleeping. She was cuddling what seemed to be an old shirt, but when Emily got closer she realized it was one of her shirts.
"Ahahaha... Emily..." Anne muttered in her sleep. Emily smiled broadly at Anne and sat next to her on the bed, playing with her hair ever so gently. Anne stayed asleep and even cuddled up the shirt more as Emily kept going. Instead of waking Anne up, Emily packed up a few pairs of clothes, shoes, makeup, and other necessities. Once she was finished, Emily sat back down and noticed that Anne was wearing the matching bracelet that Anne had bought for her a while ago and chuckled a bit.
"I really hope that we can be like this for many more years... Each day I fall for you more and more so I can't stand to be away from you..." Emily whispered in a silvery voice. Anne's hand reached for Emily's and grasped it firmly, making Emily jump a bit from shock. Anne was awake and staring lovingly at Emily.
"The feeling is mutual, Emily, you know that. I'm sorry I feel asleep by the way I just..." Anne noticed the shirt she was cuddling and jerked it away from herself, "Ummmm... it's not what you think, I promise." She said in a wobbly voice. Emily laughed at Anne and even managed to snort a few times at her reaction.
"It's fine, Anne. If you want to borrow a shirt of mine then just ask. In return I want a shirt too, after all, we are going out so this isn't abnormal," Emily finish, picking the shirt back up and promptly handing it back to Anne, "Also, thank you Anne, for the bracelet I mean. I never got the chance to thank you properly so... really, thank you..." Emily trailed off as she sat beside Anne on the bed once again to lean on her a bit. Anne grinned and leaned onto Emily in return. It was quiet in the room for a while actually, Anne's parents were downstairs, there was still time before they had to leave, and there were no other distractions. Without a warning or hint, Emily leaned in closer to Anne and knocked her down onto the bed with a thud. Instead of doing anything though, Emily just teased Anne by tickling her and messing around with other things.
"You cheeky girl!" Anne shouted, smiling from ear to ear as she push Emily onto the bed in return. The two kept going for a while before an alarm went off, indicating that it was time to leave for the airport. The two tugged their cases down the stairs and into Anne's car, which of course had to be driven by their dad, and soon headed off for the airport. Emily laid on Anne's lap the whole way there and in return Anne stoked Emily's long black hair.
"Hey dad, do you think I can get my hair dyed next week?" Anne asked suddenly. Emily snickered at Anne's question and sat up.
"Why do you want to get your hair dyed?" Emily asked, toying with Anne's blond hair. Anne shrugged, but beamed a bit at the question.
"I was thinking that I should draw attention away from you by doing something, but I also need to match my girlfriend's beauty," Anne said, reaching for Emily's hair to stoke it, "your hair is amazing to me, and so, I was thinking about going from a blonde to a platinum blonde." Anne finished, continuing to comb through Emily's black hair. The two laughed afterwards and talk about the subject further until they reached the airport. Anne's dad waved the two off, leaving them at the front entrance to meet with everybody else. When they got inside, Anne and Emily notice Jane and Taylor were already there along with Will and Rocky.
"Damn it! Where are those other bozos at!" Rocky shouted, pacing back and forth between seat rows.
"What's going on?" Anne asked as her and Emily walked up to the small group. Jane turned around and gave a loud and annoyed sigh.
"TJ, Jordan, Ashley, and Derik haven't been answering their phones! Our flight leaves in less than two hours so we need to hurry up and get our tickets, that we bought already, scanned and then get on our flight! They are pissing me off more than Emily was last year." Jane said with a slight sense of humor. Emily chuckled and pulled out her phone to call the four of them since they gave her their numbers when she officially became a member of the club.
"Hey, it's Emily. Rocky, Jane, Anne, Will, Taylor, and I are already at the airport. You guys need to get here soon or Rocky is going to blow a fuse and murder you guys. See you soon!" Emily said that in every single call. Not long after the message, the four of them arrive sweating and out of breath. Instead of blowing up at them right after they arrive, Rocky quickly runs to set her luggage down to be x-rayed and then went to get her ticket scanned to board the plane. One by one the members each did this and soon they were on their long waited flight to New York. Normally by car it would take then anywhere from 15-20 hours to get to New York City by driving, but only 2 1/2 hours by plane. Of course, Anne and Emily sat beside each other to talk and flirt like a normal couple, Jane and Taylor sat next to each other, then the rest of the members just played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would sit next to who. The ten relaxed and watched a nice long movie for their flight to New York. What could go wrong?
