Loving You (Sequel: Friends To Lovers) (GXG)

Parade

Emily woke up from sounds of snoring, crying, and talking. The plane was getting closer to the ground of New York City and just as it landed everyone woke up with groans and or cheers. Anne still managed to stay asleep and so, as you know, Emily swiftly nibbled Anne on her earlobe causing her to wake up instantly with a jolt. Instead of snapping back at Emily like most would, Anne smiled and leaned onto Emily lovingly.

"You're so mean, ya know that?" Anne asked, turning her head to face Emily. They both laughed it off and prepared to get off of the plane, hopefully in one piece, to head to the meeting point with the other parade members. They all safely made it off the plane and hurried into the airport checkout to get their luggage and, hopefully, find a snack area of some sort. After relaxing and trying to become used to being on the ground again, Rocky led the other outside and down the street. The airport they were at was LaGuardia Airport, but the meeting spot is in Central Park which is about a half an hour away from where they are at. Will decided to hail a taxi van down since ten people obviously wouldn't fit into a regular taxi. As they crowded into the van, Jordan and Ashley sat next to Emily and Anne with devious grins. Thankfully though, they were only there to tease them rather than something else.

On the other hand, Rocky was sitting with Jane and Taylor, making passes at Jane who usually responded with some *interesting* word combinations (you can only imagine what she  came up with). When they reached the park, Emily paid the driver instead of Will and they headed on their way to the Bow Bridge which is where they were meeting the other parade members who invited them. TJ ran around a bit trying to pick up some guys while Derik followed and apologized to every single guy he made a "move" on. Ashley and Jordan, being themselves, messed around with some other guys by flirting with them and then dissing them for cute girls that passed by, leaving the guys in shock followed by sadness that a girl is worth more to them than the guys themselves. Rocky was the first to reach the bridge followed by Will, Jane, Taylor, Emily, and Anne, leaving the other four behind to their own devices. Right when Emily laid her eyes on the bridge her face instantly lit up. The view on the peak of the bridge was absolutely phenomenal for Emily, and Anne could tell. Anne hopped up onto the bridge railing and sat down to overlook the park, gesturing Emily to do the same. While their friends passed them, Emily and Anne stayed put on the railing to see the breathtaking view.

"You know, I would like us to live near here when we graduate from college." Emily said, grasping Anne's hand in her own. Anne looked down at Emily's hand which was shaking quite a bit, but for a reason unknown to Anne. She squeezed Emily's hand in return and nodded quietly.

"Yeah... it would be nice..." Anne muttered with a saddened tone. She quickly changed her rhythm and laughed right after, waving her hands back and forth in an attempt to take what she said back, "I mean too bad though right? Because you don't like New York in general or any disgusting and heavy populated place in general, right Emily?" Anne said in a rush to save the conversation. Emily looked at Anne is surprise, but then suddenly burst out laughing.

"You really don't forget my outbursts, do you?" Emily asked, wiping away a tear from laughing too hard. Anne chuckled weakly and turned back around to see Taylor and Jane who were both trying to signal Anne to cut off from the conversation.

"Well, let's focus on the present right now ok? It's time that we better go meet up with Rocky and the rest, but we'll talk later I promise." Anne said, jumping off the edge and then holding out a hand for Emily. The four hurried on and caught up with the rest soon enough only to see them with the other members already. Emily apologized in stead of everyone and all was forgiven. There were only three members who were there out of the unknown total. All three were guys who were *extremely* excited about the parade and about the many people, including Emily and them, who came to participate in the parade. Their names were Zayn, Jackson, and Milo, all of which were around the ages of 18-20 at the most. None of them gave any other information besides that, but it didn't really matter to the group. The clock showed it was already 5:35 P.M. and the parade begins at 6:00 P.M. and so they all headed to the spot that they were going to begin at. There were about three floats for those who get tired of walking during the parade, a car in front and in the back of the floats and marchers, and fences that went all the way down the road where the march was taking place. Everyone but Emily was excited about the parade. She notices a long line of protesters along the fences holding up provocative signs and shouting crude language at the marchers. Suddenly, Anne put her arm around Emily in an attempt to reassure her and calm her nerves.

"Look, don't worry about them ok? They can't do anything to us. It will all go smoothly without any errors, problems, or anything else. Just concentrate on me and me alone. I will protect you no matter what remember? I promised that to you long ago, Emily, and I intend to keep it." Anne said, hugging Emily tightly. Emily nodded in return with a slight frown which she replaced with a uneasy grin. Milo handed out the T-Shirts that the different sexual orientations were to wear and sent them to the tent that needed to get changed in. Emily, Anne, Jane, Taylor, Ashley, and Jordan all got a shirt with the gay flag on it with the same saying on each one which was "Lesbi-Honest, We Know Where This Is Going". Will and Rocky had the bisexual flag with the saying "Yes, I Am Bisexual, I May Or May Not Be Dating Someone, But That Doesn't Mean I'm Either Gay Or Straight". Finally TJ and Derik had a shirt with the gay flag that said "I Am A Froot Loop In The World Of Cheerios". After putting on the shirts it was almost time for the parade to begin with Emily and the rest to start out near the front.
