Anne got up from her seat and gestured Taylor to take it. Emily sighed slightly, but smiled towards Taylor to welcome her and to help her feel more comfortable in the same room with her after what had happened between them. Anne went to leave but quickly turned back around to give Emily a quick kiss all while maintaining eye contact with Taylor.

"I'll be right outside if you need me. Right outside the door. See you in a few, Emily. Taylor... make sure you take care of her while I'm not here..." Anne snarled, looking towards Taylor with a sense of hatred in her tone. Taylor said nothing and instead settled herself down in the chair beside Emily. Once Anne left, she let out a deep breath and chuckled lightly.

"Guess it's just us now... huh?" She laughed. Emily frowned and tilted her head towards the door without remarking. "Look... About what happened between us... I just wanted to say that I'm sorry... I won't do it again... Anne is a lucky girl..." Taylor mumbled, rubbing the back of her head as she spoke. Emily remained quiet and stared blankly at the door while ataylor continued to try and get her to talk. "Come on, Emily... I'm sorry, ok? Please say something! I just want to go back to how things were..." Taylor cried out. Emily flipped around suddenly and leaned over the edge of the bed to grab onto Taylor.

"How? You went too far with... with... that... I can't... forget! I want to! I didn't expect that from you! Why couldn't you have done this all before Anne and I— forget it! Get out! I can't stand to look at you right now... I'm... conflicted at the moment..." Emily wept, sitting back up in the bed. Taylor reached out and pulled Emily back towards her without hesitating.

"Wait! I... I want to hear what you have to say... Please? I want to finally be able to get over you so I can move on!" Taylor exclaimed. Emily jerked herself away from Taylor and looked down to her lap without replying. She then covered her face with her hands and chuckled lightly, but it was as if it was out of despair and sadness.

"I used to like you before all of this happened... Before Anne came to our school... Even after all the things you did to me, I felt that you were hiding how you truly felt about me. That's in the past now, so there's no going ba—"

"Why can't we?" Taylor interrupted Emily. She stood up and bent down above Emily to gaze right into her eyes. "Has your feelings really changed that much in only a year? I know mine haven't... I just want to know the truth right now..." Taylor begged her. Emily moved her hands and looked up at Taylor who seemed to be on the verge of tears.

"I really don't know anymore! Wow, look at the time! Aren't visiting hours almost—"

"Emily Ross!" Taylor shouted, "stop avoiding the subject! I have to know before I—"

"I don't know!" Emily cried out, "both you and Anne have always been there for me! You and I have known each other for much longer and have been through a lot together, while Anne and I are still getting to know each other everyday! I don't know what to tell you... I wish I knew the answer myself..." Emily trailed off. Taylor backed away and smiled faintly before coming closer again to peck Emily on her forehead without a sound so that Anne couldn't hear from the outside.

"Give it some thought... I was going to give up on you finally, but seeing as I may have a chance still I want to do anything and everything that is possible..." She whispered, opening the door to leave while letting Anne come in.

"There's my baby! How did it go? What did Taylor have to say?" Anne asked. Emily went ahead and reached for her forehead where Taylor and kissed her and sighed to herself with a low giggle.

"Nothing really I guess..." She replied, smiling back at Anne whi had sat herself next to the bed again. Anne didn't say anything afterwards, but instead remained by Emily's side until visitor hours were over. She refused to leave at first, but Emily somehow convinced her that she would be alright until the next day.

As soon as Anne left the hospital, she immediately called up Taylor to meet up with her at the dorm. Both didn't say much to each other, but when the topic of Emily came up they both expressed their concern about her. It wasn't until Anne brought up the idea of what Taylor and Emily may have spoken about alone that there was a clear argument.

"Look, we just talked about what had happened with Jane! I apologized for the other thing too, so there's nothing you have to worry about. There is nothing going on between Emily and I!" Taylor shouted. Anne pressed her hand against Taylor and pressed her forehead against Taylor's as a way to grab her attention.

"That is such a lie! I told you that I was right outside that door! I heard everything! I saw everything! I can't believe you!" Anne yelled back.

"I just brought it up!  She was the one who made it obvious that she was still in love with me as well, so why don't you go ask your little girlfriend about it? I didn't do anything!" Taylor argued. The two fought back and forth for a while before there was a knock at the door. It was Jane. Taylor swung the door open to let her in and waited for her to speak first.

"I just came to grab my stuff. Have fun living alone in here, Taylor." Jane remarked, picking uo her belongings one by one before leaving without saying anything else. Taylor nor Anne said a word to her since they were worried about their own issues, and so the room was again quiet as they glared at each other...
