The day dragged on slowly, but soon lunch had started. Emily went to the cafeteria without anyone and was stopped by a group of people before passing the doubled doors. The few girls glared at Emily before purposely bumping into her hard enough to cause her to fall to the floor. She didn't say anything to them, and continued inside where she noticed Alix sitting at a table by himself. She sighed in relief.

"Is this seat taken?" Emily asked, pointing to the chair directly in front of Alix. He shook his head and insisted that Emily sat with him, attempting to hide his worry. The two ate in silence until someone came up behind Emily and tapped her. It was Anne along with Jane and Taylor.

"You scared me, Emily! Geez I was planning on eating with ya too..." Anne grumbled, planting herself in a seat right next to Emily. Taylor moved over to the other side next to Alix while Jane then seated herself next to Anne. Emily apologized to them all and continued to nibble on her lunch.

"But still, I didn't expect Rocky to be so popular... That just pisses me off even more!" Jane remarked. Alix dropped his fork right after and looked directly with a weak smile.

"She's great at sports... Most of her friends happen to be in the same gym classes as her along with those on any of the sports teams..." Alix sniffled, apologizing to Emily right after. Emily shook her head and frowned.

"It's not your fault, Alix. I'm sure that Rocky just changed into someone completely different compared to who she used to be. No one could have predicted that she would turn out Luke this..." As soon as Emily said that, a force pushed her head right on top of the table.

"Hey, hey, hey! Didn't anyone ever tell you that it was bad to talk about someone behind their back?" Rocky lifted her hand and placed it onto Emily's shoulder with a cheeky smile on her face. "Oh, excuse me for interrupting your little chat... I just wanna borrow this one for a bit. I mean it, Emily is the only one who can come... If anyone else follows, then I swear to God that I'll fucking beat the shit out of her. Got it? Good. Let's go Emily!" Rocky dragged Emily out of her seat and back through the doubled doors that exited the cafeteria. Anne stayed motionless, still trying to piece together what had just happened. She began to stand up, but Alix reached his hand out and pulled her arm towards the table.

"I wouldn't go after them if I were you. Whenever Rocky says that, she means it. If you go after Emily, then she will only get hurt in the process," Alix stated. Anne clenched her fists, but agreed and sat back in her seat. Meanwhile, Rocky continued to pull Emily through the hallways of the school until they reached the gym which was now empty. Rocky released her grip and strolled over to a basketball hoop that was at the far end of the gym. Emily followed close behind, skeptical of what her motive was.

"When I was a freshman," Rocky began, picking up a nearby basketball on the floor, "I went out with Samantha-" she stopped in her tracks, shaking her head before continuing where she left off-"Alix and I was extremely happy, you know, like you and Anne are. After he told me that, um, you know... It's not like I was upset at what he told me, it was the fact that he was feeling that way before we started dating. He didn't tell me, so I got a little upset... That's why he dumped me..." She sighed, folding her arms. "I'm... I'm sorry Emily... I have anger issues, if you couldn't tell, and I feel terrible about everything I've done... It's just hard to get over him... I didn't mean to take everything this far, but Jordan convinced me so that she could steal Anne from you." Emily stepped back a bit in shock and furrowed her eyebrows.

"Wait, so this whole mess was instigated by Jordan? Ugh! I should've known!" Emily shouted, stomping her foot in frustration. "Look, I don't forgive you, but I'll try talking to Alix for you. It's obvious that you miss him very much, so I'll help you out as long as you tell Jordan that she better back off. Besides that, tell your friends that they need to stop sticking threatening notes into my locker!" Rocky tilted her head in confusion and then scratched the back of her head.

"I think you got the wrong person, babe. I don't even have any friends besides the club. I haven't even played any sports since last year, so I don't hang out with any of the teams." She admitted, raising her eyebrow at Emily. The two shared dazed glances before finally figuring out who the actual culprit may be.

"It has to be Jordan then... I hate to ask you this, but can you talk to her and see if you can get proof for me? I'll talk to Alix to see if he can give you another chance if you do." The two made an agreement and headed off to do their own thing. As soon as Emily returned to the cafeteria to be met with a distressed Anne. She quickly pulled Emily into a hug and sniffles quietly.

"Sorry... I got a little scared at what Rocky said, so I didn't want to follow in case she wasn't lying..." Anne mumbled, keeping her head on top of Emily's shoulder. The two stayed that way for a few more moments before finally breaking their contact. Emily then sat herself back in her seat across Alix who was shifting in his own.

"Rocky wants you to know that she's sorry for taking out her anger on you. She asked me to relay you this and also tell you that she wants to talk to you. She didn't do anything to me, don't worry, but I found out that Jordan has been the one pulling the strings. I'll go with you after school today, ok?" Alix breathed deeply and sank in his chair with an anxious gaze.

"As long as you're coming with me... I have to admit, I've been wanting to speak to her..." Emily sighed in relief and turned to face Anne along with Taylor and Jane.

"Jordan's friends were the ones who've been leaving those annoying notes. She also convinced Rocky to do all sorts of things, so don't get too upset at her, ok?" They all we're hesitant, but nodded in agreement before trying to continue on with their lunch.

The bell rung not long after, and so the group headed their separate ways for classes. Anne, Taylor, and Jane went to the advanced geometry class they had together while Alix and Anne headed for their English class. Right before Emily could enter the classroom, a girl stepped in front of her and blocked the entrance. She snickered and pushed Emily back with her foot, but was then stopped by Taylor who pulled the girl out of the doorway by her hair.

"You ok, Emily? Let's hurry and go in or I may just have to beat that girl to a pulp!" Taylor exploded, glancing back at the girl with a scowl before followed Emily and Jane in. The next two classes after their geometry, Emily had double study halls with Anne. The time passed by quickly as the two talked and joked the whole hour and a half. Right after the two exited the room at the end of the school day, Rocky and Alix appeared in front of them with gloomy looks...
