When a woman is walking around with a stupid smile on her face, everyone assumes that she has a man. That is not quite the reason for my smile, but a man or men are the cause of it. One man who hangs on to my every word and shows me a good time while the other man I have over a tank of piranhas scrambling for a way to stay out of the water. All of this has made my really boring life very interesting and the smile I'm often seen wearing is because the antics of both Walter and Mr. Divine come back to me at the strangest time and make me laugh.

Mr. Divine as I call this new guy in my head wasn't kidding when he said he wanted us to have lunch and catch up. It seems like my previous off the cuff remark about it taking three hours turned out to be true. As a precaution, I told my boss that on Wednesday I would be taking an extra long lunch due to an appointment I had. When the day came I brought to work the necessary accessories to execute a presto chango and when I walked back to my desk with my hair down, makeup changed, and jewelry you should have seen the heads spinning. I removed a small clutch bag from my desk, locked it, then turned to leave, unbuttoning the jacket I wore with every step I took nearer to the door. As I stepped into the elevator the jacket came off and I'm sure they all saw my ultra sexy, backless top as the door slid close.

Lunch was . . . hummmmmmm. All I can say is this guy really knows how to treat a lady. We sat in a quiet spot on the terrace of the restaurant and we talked and ate and kept right on talking till the waitresses started to change the settings for dinner. Time had run away from us, but we were enjoying ourselves so much we didn't want to leave. When we eventually did, it was to walk along the boardwalk, then reluctantly back to our parked cars. We had talked every night so far, and from the looks of things, tonight would be the same. As he opened the car door for me, he took my hand and lifted it to his lips before handing me slowly into the car. Something told me this guy wouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.

Like before, a text came while I was on my way back to work and as I walked back into the office whom should I see sitting in the waiting area but Walter? I took the position that he was there to pick up his present woman so I continued past him like he wasn't even there. Surprise, surprise, Walter hurried past me and into the elevator. Once there he started to annoy me with questions of why I wasn't answering his calls and if it was true I was going to hotels at night and leaving the kids home alone. I walked out of the elevator like I hadn't heard a word he had said when really, I was seething. He followed me and I gave my vindictive juices full reign.

I walked through the office all smiles because I was still abuzz from my marvelous lunch even though Walter was trailing behind me trying to start a quarrel. When he saw I was going right for his woman I never saw anyone move so fast, but I got there first. Not bothering to use my usual inside voice, I turned to her.

"Kindly ask your man to stop calling my phones at all hours of the night. If you couldn't keep Walter occupied at night introduce him to one of your friends I'm sure he's hit on her behind your back and soon whoever it will take up the slack you are obviously leaving.

With those words, I turned and left. It would have been fun to stay and watch the quarrel unfold but I had other more important things to attend to. Once at my desk I checked to see what I would have to deal with the next day, then got myself ready to go to the pool to pick up the kids from their training. My statement must have touched a nerve because when I was on my way back out the Walter and his woman were still having a tense, hushed squabble. Oh well, not my problem to deal with. He wanted her, now he has to handle all the consequences of having her, not to mention she, him.

When I got to the pool you could have knocked me over with a feather when I found Mr. Divine standing there waiting for me to show up. He apologized for the intrusion but said he desperately wanted to continue the conversation my having to go back to work had interrupted earlier. The way we talked was something I've never experienced and that is what I think attracted me to him further. With Walter he was the one who did all the talking, he always had to be the center of attention even if he didn't have a clue about the topic. I still had time before the children finished with their swimming, so we sat in the car and talked till they were finished.

I know you must be wondering, is this is the same woman who expressed the need for caution obviously falling blindly for this man who she doesn't know from Adam. Then you would have to be r-o-n-g wrong. My heart is in no way involved no matter how flattering Mr. Divine may seem, and you can bet with my new-found computer knowledge I have Googled his name to see what there is, if anything, floating about on the worldwide web about him. What I found was pretty interesting and unlike most men, he didn't see the need to boast and tries to let his actions speak for themselves. If what I read is true, he is a very humble and modest man despite doing very well for himself in the business arena.

Regardless of his obvious interest, I must say Mr. Divine has always been a gentleman in his actions. He knows I'm in the middle of what is looking to be a nasty divorce and I'm not looking for anything serious. Right now my desire is to have fun and this understanding man seems more than willing to accommodate me. Another thing that I find refreshing is his constant encouragement and his assurance that I will be a success at whatever endeavor I choose to become involved in. Don't limit yourself is something I often hear him say and the conviction in his voice when he says it tells me it is a mantra he lives by.

He left before the kids finished their training, saying that as much as he wanted to meet them, he was going to leave the decision of when was the best time for him to be introduced up to me. To him, this was a fragile time for them and the last thing he wanted to do was to cause them more distress. This would continue to be just between us till time decides to reveal where it wanted this relationship to go.

Walter didn't let my declaration to his woman stop him and that night he was once again calling my phones like a lunatic, leaving messages like, "he should have never left me" and that "we had a good thing and he wanted me back". I shook my head in dismay at that message and knew he was trying to exercise a manipulation technique he often used. I'm going to save them because you never know what will happen in the future. Mr. Divine and I still continue to have our delightful talks and he took me out several more times while he was here on vacation. He wants to come visit again soon but for now business has him very busy. Despite that, I expect to see him soon though.

Even though he is still trying, Walter had found I'm not interested in anything he has to say. I still have the scars on my ass where he bit me and I have no intention of going back to try for a second experience, after all, with every day you live you are supposed to learn. So I'm enjoying myself and making sure I take baby steps so I don't find myself back in the same trap I'm working right now to get out of.
