Once upon a time, a dying girl and a living boy meet in the middle of the night.

The pitch blackness of an empty life battles against the bright light of one that's worth living.

The boy is immediately blinded by the darkness of the night, while the girl has long-since grown used to it. She watches the boys light dim and then flicker out, and finally, she has the upper hand.

All of her moves are expertly planned. She controls the darkness, the darkness that curtains them. The innocent boy is helpless as the dangerous girl begins to close in, and after the first step, his fate is accepted with grace.

The moment before his soul is finally hers to take, she's frozen by the hopeful boys hazel eyes. Now the speechless girls breath is his to take, and she suddenly realizes that the light she had seen was him.

The hazel boy is the light and everything within it, and the girl in the night sadly realizes her mistake. She's captured by his gaze as he begins to wrap her hopeless heart around his words. She can't fight back.

Light and darkness cannot, and will not, ever be able to co-exist. The living boys light is too strong, and suddenly, the dying girls darkness is gone. The boy made up of light suddenly realizes his mistake.

The girl in the night was the night; and she was everything within it. She was made up of the void, and when the light was finally stronger than her darkness, she simply ceased to exist. The night-sky girl was nothing more than a skeleton of a soul, and once the sunrise boy took that away, there was nothing left of her anymore.

And so, just like that, the dying girl was gone forever.

Peace will win; fear will lose.

By the time the night wears off, dust is down, shadows burn.

I will fear the night again.
