It was six-thirty when I started to do my morning routines. I cooked a food for my two boys and cleaned the whole apartment. The sun started to reign again when the winter season has stopped. Every majestic rays of the sun were very evident because it has protruded through the wall glass.

I pinned my hair messily. I inhaled and didn't mind the sublime rays of the sun. I need to attend the conference meeting of the board later. I was shocked because of it. They only announced it last night. Wala naman kaming nagpag-uusapan ni Charles o kahit na sinong board na may meeting. Maybe it's an emergency meeting.

I squished the mop on its pail and after that, I continued mopping all the microscopic stain in the tiles. It was pretty good because it's not that hot and I didn't even sweat that much. Pero ang hirap magpapawis kapag nag-eexercise ako, bumabawi nalang ako sa pagkain.

Charles texted me a good morning with a smiley emoticon. I responded to his text as a show of politeness. Let's face the fact that I have no feelings for him, I mean, I have but not the romantic way. Kaibigan lang ang kaya kong ibigay sa kanya.

I told him that he doesn't need to court or wait because there's no chance at all. I don't know but entering into a relationship is the last on my prior list. My focus now is the future of my brother and son. I need to secure them and that is to provide a money for their future.

The room of Luise opened. The usual face of him since Charles came yesterday is still on. I managed to act normal and didn't notice his mood.

"Good morning, Lu!" I greeted and stopped from mopping.

"Morning,"

"Are you hungry? I had prepared a food for us. If you want to eat, you can go to the kitchen." I mannerly said.

He yawned and scratched the back of his head. This kid is definitely good looking. I'm not saying this because I am his sister but I am stating only the fact. Luise has a fair skin and a masculine body. His side-by-side dimple is showing every time he makes a face. But I'm thankful that I had never heard a news of him broke a girl's heart. He's thirteen, by the way.

"I'm not. Bakit wala 'yong unggoy na palaging pumupunta dito?" he said without a fear on his voice.

"Lu, give respect to Charles!" I spatted.

I know Charles is the one who's he talking about. I'm aware that he doesn't like Charles but he didn't speak a word against him. Ngayon lang.

"Is the monkey courting you, Ate?" he asked as if I was in hot seat.

"I didn't let him,"

"I knew it! He has a plan of hitting you!" lumakas na ang kanyang boses.

"There's nothing wrong for courting me,"

"I don't like him." he stated and stood up. But before he left me, I spoke.

"Why can't you like him? Marami na siyang naitulong saatin. He was the one who had offered a house for us in our first year here."

"We don't need his house. We can just go back to the Philippines!"

Hindi na niya ako hinayaang magsalita at naglakad na siya ng mabilis patungo sa dinning area. I was shocked because of his reaction. I never heard any of his complaint. Right now was the first time that I heard him speak about this thing. He was just letting me decide.

I know he really want to go back to the Philippines. But I still don't know if I had the strength for returning. I had so much in that country. Matagal kong pinaghilom ang mga sugat na nagmula sa mga taong nagpahirap sa aking pamilya. Time heals any wounds but there is still a scars on it. Scars that always remind you the pains you're been through.
