When I had told Aguri of what I had done, even she had found the flaws of my personality. At first, she refused to speak to me but when I caught her attention. She slapped me. I did in fact, deserved that.

"Love isn't just something you can toy with." Tears welled up in her eyes, "couldn't you have just excogitate it? I can't believe you. I don't want to hear anymore of this." She swiftly turned around but, before she could leave, I grabbed ahold of her.

"Let go." She demanded.

"Aguri, listen to me. Doesn't this sound too familiar?" I asked. "I'm doing this for their sake. Make me the bad guy but this will help them. If they really want to go down that path, I can't just leave it alone." I explained.

Aguri sighed and faced me again.
"You have a funny way of showing it. If it's what best for them, then so be it." She finally accepted my actions and hugged me. "What cruel fate bestowed upon them."

<Irina>
Karasuma was standing before me as I blocked the lab door from him. His arms crossed and that tense expression of his. I was even mimicking him to the very core.

"Tsk, you make everything so difficult." I said.

"You're one to talk, now let me in." He demanded. "You're in the way." The other scientists behind him looked impatient.

"Over my dead body." I stuck out my tongue.

"That can be arranged."

"Tadaomi, can't you just give them some space? You know, having your memories suddenly erased is a big deal." I gestured.

"Fine, I'll give them 10 minutes."

Ugh this is annoying. At least everything that was about to happen, at the most. Honesty, not a big friendly person with Nagisa, but I found out what was happening from Shizuka. I'm a sucker for love too, can't deny that. The man in front of me, is my lover and my enemy. I'll stand my ground for Nagisa, just this once.

<Karma>
Nagisa laid her head on my lap as I caressed her short blue hair. Her soft pink lips and the long eyelashes. I wanted to remember all the features. I took my finger and slid it over her lips and she opened her eyes. The calm in her smile. I felt content myself even if I'll lose everything today.

"Karma, I'm sorry." She apologized. "I went too far, I'm sorry." She covered her face from the shame.

"No one has ever been so kind to me this much before, I'm grateful Nagisa. If anything, I should be thanking you. For at least giving me part of my life back." I gleamed.

"So you're okay with losing your memories again?" She sat up with despair in her eyes.

I shook my head.
"N-no, that's not it. Of course it sucks but, what can do you?"

"Karma I-"

"Nagisa, it's alright. I believe that one day we can reunite again. I believe that you'll bring me back to life. Can I say that will be true?"

My words seemed to have tortured her even more. She started to cry with her eyes that were already swollen and red.

"Karma, I'm going to miss you." Her voice cracked and trailed off. "What am I supposed to do without you?" She laid her head on my chest.

"Nagisa." I took my hand and wiped away the tears from her face and kissed her cheek. "Even if I forgot about you, my heart will never cease the beat that you've created."

Nagisa placed her hand on my cheek.

"Karma, I love you." The blush on her face and confidence riled me up inside.

"Yeah, I love you too." I pulled her in close and planted a kiss on her lips. At first I wanted to keep it short, but my heart couldn't just keep it short. I wanted this moment. Something to take with me.

"Karma, please wait for me. I'll make sure to bring you back. Just wait for me." Nagisa embraced me tightly. For once, I could feel her affectionate warmth she possessed. Only she could give me that sensation I yearn for.

"For you, I'll wait eternity Nagisa."

<Nagisa>
Karasuma and the MD scientist entered the lab as I saw Irina looking in through the window.
Thank you, I mouthed to her. She nodded her head and waved. It wasn't long before she left.
Shi also came in and wrapped her arms around mine. I don't know who it was but, someone's heart was racing abruptly.

The scientists hooked up their computers to Karma and laid him on the white table. The rainbow of wires that snakes along the ground. I couldn't bare to look but if I look away now, I'm running away from all of it. That's not what I promised him. I can't afford to ignore it now.

"Nagisa." Shi called my name, "if it's love, nothing can defeat it." Her mollified voice resonated within me, as she tried to comfort me.

"Thank you." I leaned my head on her shoulder. "I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble. Forgive me."

"I'll only forgive you, if you stay strong." She patted my head while I held her within my arms. "I may not agree with your relationship, but I can't deny that this is also love."

I stood there and watched with Shi, as Karma's eyes were locked onto mine. Everything rammed through my mind and I saw myself down memory lane. The first day I met Karma, till now. All the things we went through, everything.

Karma laid there smiled at me and my heart ached more. I sent one back to him in hopes that he wouldn't see me break down again. Then it began, the lights on the computer started flashing. The scientist dancing across the floor to the other side and clicking away at the mouse.
Karma's eyes slowly drifting shut. For the last thing he saw, was me.

I collapsed on my knees and stared off into the white ceiling. Blind me, hurt me. Take away this pain. I was drained, I couldn't cry out anymore. I wanted to die, that's what it felt like. How could I keep going? How?

"Nagisa! Are you okay?!" Shi dropped down beside me and held my shoulders.

I motioned my hand and looked up at her. She could see it across my face, I know she can. What words that didn't need to be spoken of.

I took a breath and closed my eyes.
I'll see you again, Karma.
