And Dennise couldn't help but smile back a bit wider. God she missed those whisker dimples.

"Let's go then," masayang yaya ni Alyssa at nagsimulang lumakad. Hindi pa siya masyadong nakakalayo ng may humatak pahinto sa kanya.

"Um, Alyssa, yung kamay ko," Den shyly said after she realized their hands are intertwined.

Alyssa looked at their hands. "Oh." She held them up to her face as if she's inspecting their hands. "Well our hands look good together."

"Alyssa--"

"What? Nauna ka naman humawak ah. I'll decide when to let go," pangungulit ni Aly.

"Bitaw na!" Den tried to pull her hand.

But Aly just pulled their hands together to her chest. "Never."

This made Den's heart skip a beat at wala siyang nasabi pabalik.

After about 5 seconds, Aly let go of Den's hand and smirked, "Joke lang. Until now pasmado ka pa din." And she wiped her hand on Den's shirt.

"Bwisit ka!" exclaimed Den while hitting Ly on the shoulder. The latter just laughed.

They then walked in silence; a bit awkward yes but no one's walking out.

Aly stopped. "Gutom na ko. I know a good place."

But even before Aly could turn, Den's quick eyes already saw Laura and her "guy friend" so she pulled Ly's face to stop her from going to that direction. She did that too quick and quite forceful. Muntik ng magdikit yung mukha nila ng paharapin niya si Alyssa sa kanya.

Den didn't let go of Aly's face until she's sure that Laura is out of sight. After which, she looked at the face she's holding and saw a stupid grin on that face.

"You're not gonna kiss me, are you?" Aly asked with her eyebrows going up and down.

Den pushed the taller one's face and said, "You wish! A-Ano kasi, mas maganda dito sa gusto kong kainan."

"Fine. Fine. I trust your choices," Ly said in defeat.

"You won't be disappointed."

"I see. The same ice cream place," Ly said after they settled down.

"Yup. Never gets old. What are you having?" Den said looking at the menu.

"The usual."

"Okay. One banana split for you; all chocolate ice cream by choice. And one t-bone steak," Den narrated.

"One spanish sardines pasta and neapolitan ice cream," sabi naman ni Alyssa.

Den just smiled. Alam niyang usual order niya yung binanggit ni Alyssa. "I see you still remember."

"Same as you remember mine. Never gets old," Ly said, smiling.

They were already eating when Alyssa sensed that Dennise is feeling cold.

She called the waiter's attention and asked for a cup of warm water.

The waiter put it on the table and Ly said, "Hands."

"Ha?" tanong ni Den.

"Kamay mo. Akin na."

"Para saan?" Den asked again but she held out her hands anyway.
