Ulterior Motive

Three weeks have passed and Aly and Den have already transferred to their dorm. Siyempre roommates sila. Someone pulled the strings to make it happen. Aly has learn to get along with her teammates na din. Magaling naman din kasi siyang makisama.

Den and Aly continued to follow their rules. They already know the rules by heart. Halos hindi na kailangan magsenyasan. Well, except for number four.

Everybody woke up early for their morning jogging. All of them are at the living room now and ready to leave the dorm.

"Capt, sa UP naman tayo magjogging," requested Aly.

"Bakit? You don't like it here in Ateneo?" Dzi asked.

"Hindi naman. For a change of scenery lang," Aly said smiling.

"Naku, Valdez. Style mo bulok," teased Gretch.

"Saturday kasi Dzi. Daming tao sa UP. Girl radar on na naman yang si Ly," gatong naman ni A.

"Hay naku. Ayan na naman siya. May ulterior motive, idadamay pa lahat," Den commented.

Aly just ignored what Den had said. "Sige na, Capt. Actually, namiss ko lang magjog sa Acad Oval ng UP. Ganito na lang, doon tayo magjog then I'll treat you guys to Rodic's after," Aly said smiling.

"Yes na yan, Capt!" singit ni Ella.

"Why am I not surprised that you will be the first to be convinced?" sabi ni Mona kay Ella.

"Wala na talagang magugulat dun. Any sentence with the word 'treat' or any food in it would make Ella agree. No second thinking," said Fille. Nagtawanan naman lahat.

"As if naman hindi kayo mapapapayag ni Ly. Ngitian lang kayo niyan busog na kayo," Ella said.

"Fille, Tasha, Mona, Sarah, Jem, Mae, please?" pleaded Aly with a big smile on her face.

"Oo na," sagot ng mga tinanong.

"Yes!" shouted Aly.

"Hoy, hindi pa kami pumapayag," said Gretch.

"Eight kaming nag-yes. So I guess, majority wins?" sabi ni Aly.

"Sige na. Para makapagsimula na. Let's all proceed to UP. Ikaw magdrive, Valdez," said Dzi while tossing the keys to Aly.

They are now at the UP Acad Oval. After a few stretching, they started jogging. Maraming tao but they were able to maintain their file. Suddenly, someone sneaked beside Den.

"Hi," greeted the tall, mestizo, handsome guy.

Den and her buddy, Ella, are lined up second to the last pair so hindi ito napansin ng iba. Aly, however, noticed it since nasa hulihan sila ni Mae. Napatingin naman si Den but she didn't answer back. She kept on running.

"It's a nice day for a jog, ano?" said the guy, smiling. He's trying to jog along Den's pace. Den just smiled back.

"I'm Andre by the way. Andre Paras." He offered his hand.

Den accepted it and said, "Den. Dennise --"

Andre cut her and said, "Lazaro. Right?"

"How did you know?" she asked.

"It's on your shirt," said Andre pointing at the shirsey Den is wearing.

Napangiti na lang si Den.
