Alyssa knocked on the door. She heard a faint "Come in," from inside.

She heaved a sigh before opening the door. She slowly entered the room.

"Mama said you wanted to talk to me, Sir," she said curtly.

"Yes, Apo. I'm glad you came. Please have a seat," sagot naman ni Lolo Luis.

"Whatever it is you have to tell me, do it fast. It's not like I want to stay here for long," Alyssa said, still standing.

"You don't have to be rude, you know. Where are your manners?" tanong ng Lolo niya.

Alyssa let out a smirk. "And you didn't have to be so cruel. Nasaan yung Lolo kong kilala ko? He's definitely not you, Sir."

Silence.

"I need your help."

"And what made you think na tutulungan kita?" Alyssa replied with a chuckle.

"The business needs you Alyssa."

"Right, the business."

"Kailangan ka namin," pakiusap ng Lolo niya.

Alyssa started walking to the door.

"Alyssa, listen to me," begged his Lolo.

"Why? Did you even listen to me? Pinakinggan mo ba lahat ng pakiusap ko? You didn't care about me and Den. All you care about is this goddamn business!"

"That's not true," Lolo Luis said softly.

"Totoo naman e! Why? Nagkagulo kayo sa negosyo ni Lolo Miguel kaya relasyon namin ni Den ang napag-initan niyo di ba?!"

"Hindi yun tungkol sa negosyo."

"Then what?! Kasi hanggang ngayon hindi ko naiintindihan! Bakit?!"

"I was hurt!" Luis answered. Napahinto naman si Alyssa.

"I was hurt," ulit ni Luis.

"Miguel and I... we were having a game of chess--"

"What the hell?! Just because of a stupid chess game--"

"Shut up! Hindi pa ko tapos magkwento! You really have anger issues!"

"What do you expect? Nagmana ako sayo," Alyssa blurted out.

Medyo napatawa naman si Lolo Luis dito. "I guess that's right. Now sit down."

Alyssa hesitated but then she still obeyed her Lolo.

"As I was saying, we were playing chess and we were drinking also. Got a little drunk, nagkapikunan, hanggang umabot sa lola mo ang topic."

"What about my Lola?"

"Miguel. He told me that when I was in one of my trips abroad, something happened," Luis narrated uncomfortably.

"He was very sad when his wife died. Your lola was there to comfort him. They kissed, he told me."

"No way! Hindi magagawa ni Lola sayo yun," Alyssa said in disbelief.

"That was what I thought too. But then I realized that they were bestfriends even before ako dumating sa buhay ng lola mo."

"I can't believe this," Alyssa said shaking her head.

"Yes. Don't. Huwag magbabago ang tingin mo sa lola mo. Nakapagusap na kami ni Miguel. He said that he was just trying to piss me off that time. Yes, they kissed. I mean, he kissed Alicia. She fell in love with your lola during their youth and he misunderstood your lola's concern nung mga panahong malungkot siya," Luis paused for a while.
