Chapter 9

Bethany's POV

as daniel kisses me i feel the whole world stop for a moment, like the kiss lasted a life time. he pulls away and smiles at me. i hear a slight clapping coming from the hall and i see corbyn and jack standing in the doorway.

corbyn: finally

corbyn and jack continue to clap as they walk away.

daniel: i've been wanting to do that since the day i layed my eyes on you.

i kiss him once more and then pull away for breathe.

we make eye contact and i get butterflies in my stomach.

daniel: so you're leaving soon.

me: oh right.

i disappointingly pull my hands away from his.

daniel lifts my head up.

daniel: we'll figure something out. when do you have to be back at school?

i sit down on my bed and think to myself, trying to process everything that's happening.

me: well...

i begin to gather my thoughts.

daniel: can you stay for a longer? is there anyway? i want you here with me.

me: well, i could ask my teachers to email me the work. i could just tell everyone that my film isn't done yet. i mean i have barely started

i glance over to my camera and back down at my hands.

daniel: but is that what you want to do?

me: daniel, it's been my dream to live here in California. i love it here. if i had he option of never going back to Colorado i would never go back.

daniel: i have an idea.

daniel runs out of the room and gathers all the boys along with the same professional looking man from before and bring them up to my room. they offer me an internship for over the summer that i could do.

daniel: this is manager jeff. he's our manager. and how would you like to do a summer internship for him. it would look good on a college application.
daniel says as he smiles at me.

i go speechless for a moment and don't really know what to say. i take a moment and begin to speak.

me: well i have to check with my mom but i'm sure she'll say yes! it's a definite yes from me.

i stand up and daniel grabs my waist and hugs me tightly once more.
