Pt2 Chapter 33

Bethany's POV

Thursday.

I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing. I roll over and click the green button, not looking at the caller ID
Beth: Hello?
I say quietly, noticing Daniel laying next to me.

Morgan: Bethany! Hey girl.

Beth: Hey, aren't you in class?

Morgan: Pshtttt, no. I swear I never go to class.

Beth: Oh that's right, you're Morgan, of course!

she giggles.

Morgan: So I was thinking we go to a dinner and a movie on Tuesday night? Wear something nice?

Beth: You know what Tuesday is.

Morgan: Yeah it's a day of the week.

Beth: No, it's my birthday. And you know I hate doing things for my birthday.

Morgan: Well, then think of it as not your birthday. Just a random Tuesday night.

I can hear her obnoxious laugh through the phone.

Beth: Okay, fine. I'll go.

I obnoxiously laugh back at her.

Morgan: Okay sounds good!

Beth: Oh and Morgan, go to class.

My voice gets a little louder without me noticing.

Morgan: Never.

She laughs as she hangs the phone up.

I put my phone down on my end table and flop on my back, forgetting Daniel was right next to me.

I look at his face and his eyes flutter open as he looks at me.

Beth: Sorry did I wake you?

Daniel: Yeah, but it's fine because you're you.

I can see his slight grin. I smile.
He grabs my waist and puts his head into my neck.

Daniel: What time is it?

He says as his voice is muffled.

I reach over to my phone and unlock it, revealing the time.

Beth: 9:02am.

Daniel: It's so early.

Beth: Sleepy head.

I get up and take the covers off of my body while doing so, and throw them onto Daniel, covering his face.
He doesn't flinch.

I laugh as he moves the blanket from off him face and glares at me as I walk out of the room.

I wait a few moments then run back into the room.

Beth: Come on babe, I have somewhere to be.

He looks at me and smiles, then flings the covers off of himself and slowly stands up as I walk out of the room once again, Daniel slowly trudging behind me.

I make breakfast for the both of us, knowing Logan isn't here to help make it. He's somewhere in Canada I think. It's funny that I don't know.
After breakfast, I hop in the shower and clean myself up, I get dressed and so does Daniel. We head out the door, locking it behind us.

We go down to P1 and find Logans challenger and get in.

(you're about to find out ya yeeeet)

*TIME SKIP TO WHEN THEY REACH THEIR DESTINATION BECAUSE YAHHHH YEET*

Daniel, sitting in the passenger seat, looks at me deeply, rubbing my thigh.

Daniel: You'll do great. I've heard you practice and you're amazing. Want to run through it one more time?

I grab his hand and our fingers intertwined.

Beth: I uh, I want to be early to thing thing so I can get it over with. The earlier I am, the earlier I'm done. I should head in, but thank you.

I release my hand from Daniel's and kiss his cheek. I cross my fingers, then reach for the door handle and get out.

Daniel: I'll be parked over here! Good luck.

I shut the door of the car.
I take a deep breathe as Daniel drives into the parking lot across the street.
I walk towards the door and swing it open confidently and make my way inside.

I walk up to the receptionist.

Beth: Hi, goodmorning.

Receptionist: Hello.

Beth: I'm auditioning for the role of Peyton.

Receptionist: Name?

Beth: Bethany Woodstock.

Receptionist: Okay perfect, yes, go and have a seat in the first room on your left. There is a sign.

Beth: Thank you!

I walk off confidently and open the door. My future is going to be made in this room.

I walk in and immediately get a huge shock to see that the only other person sitting in here... is my ex? This can't be happening.
