Moss laid beside Eden threw the night. She couldn't sleep very well. Especially when she thought of what she needed I do. With a shiver she nuzzled closer to Eden's warm side and closed her eyes dazing off.
Moss opened her eyes as Eden shifted his body, standing up. Her nudged her side and walked outside of the hut. Moss stood up and stretched before walking out.
"So this is goodbye." Moss spoke as she walked closer to Eden.
"Wait, why?" Eden turned and looked at Moss.
"It's safer for you if you stay here. My father probably wants your head." Moss opened her wings getting ready to take off.
"No, I don't want to leave you yet." Eden bowed his head. "I don't ever want to leave you, your the first dragon to ever approach me. The first true friend I've ever had. Moss,"
"Eden, you have no idea how hard this is for me but it's for the best." Moss touched her wing to his.
"But I- I love you, Moss." Eden says quietly. He drew Moss closer and wrapped his wings around her. Moss twined her tail with his.
"I love you too, but I have to get going." Moss slid away from him.
"Wait," Eden ran back inside the hut and ran back out with his satchel. Opening up the leather bag he pull out an earring. "Here that way wherever you are I'm always there to protect you."
Moss picked up the earring and clipped it into her ear, holding back a pained yelp as it became a part of her ear.
"Thank you Eden." She took off and began to fly to town. Eden watched from the ground. Moss lifted her head as she grew close to town she tucked her wings and flew down.
Ghost was sitting and waiting patiently as Moss landed. Her Skywings friend beside her.
"Good your here. We leave now." Ghost turned to Red and they muted a goodbye to each other. Red and Ghost touched wings before her and Moss took off.
"I see you left the Sandwing behind. Good choice." Ghost commented.
"I didn't have much of one." Moss mumbled. Ghost rolled her eyes.
After hours of fly the two landed landed. Ghost began to set up camp and had gathered a few fruits along the way. She laid them out for Moss as she began to eat.
|~time skip~|
Moss woke early the next morning. Ghost was sound asleep curling up underneath of a tree. Moss rolled her eyes and looked around for some food before she found a small stream. Unlike most Rainwings she didn't mind the taste of meat. She watched the water before spotting movement further away. Jumping she caught the fish and quickly began to eat.
Moss finish and licked her lips before cleaning off in the stream. She walked back to the camp site. Ghost was sitting up as Moss returned.
"Time to head out." She said simply. Moss nodded as they took off. She noticed how close the two were to the rainforest from the short fly. Landing on the outskirts of the kingdom they made there way to the royal pavilion. Moss flew up and landed before walking to her mother's throne room.
"What do you want-" Glory stopped as she came face to face with her daughter. She scales changed to a flirt of Red before she took her daughter into her wings. "Moss, do you ever leave like that again."
Moss nodded as Glory took a step back.
"I'm sorry I ran off." Moss apologized. Glory nodded and took her to the hatchery. Deathbringer laid curled around two eggs. Moss could see the outlines of the dragnets in their eggs. Clearly they were close to hatching.
"Deathbringer, someone is here to see you." Moss rolled her eyes as Deathbringer opened his eyes. He scanned the room and stood seeing Moss. Running over he wrapped his wings around her.
"Don't ever leave that again. What if something happened to you? And I wasn't there to protect you?" He mumbled on and on about what could've happened as Moss smiled happy he was worried about her.
"Like I said in sorry." Deathbringer released her.
"Good." Then he laid back down, curling around the eggs. Glory chuckled and walked out of the hatchery with Moss.
"I have to get back to my duties. But I'm glad that your back." Glory took off. Sick to the throne room. Moss traveled back to her room and laid down in her Hammock. She curled up and looked out the window into the forest outside.
"So great to be back."
