Chapter 20

Eden had just left to go gather food for the next few days. Cobra and Moss sat in the hut.

"I'm going to walk around." Moss said standing up and heading out of their hut. Her green eyes settled on a small cage. Inside a scavenger sat. Long strains of golden fur laid atop its head.

"Hey don't touch her!" Moss turned to see a small dragonet tanning over. His scales a dark red that shifted through orange and yellow on his wings. "Sandstone is mine!"

"I'm sorry I didn't know." I lifted her talons and stepped away. He looked young. About a year or two. She says to herself.

"Heatstorm what are you doing?" Looked looked up in horror to see Ghost. Her white and pink scales seemed duller since Moss had last seen her.

"Ghost?" Ghost looked at Moss and a smile soon crossed her face.

"Oh it's so good to see a familiar face for once. Heatstorm this is Moss, Moss this is my son Heatstorm." She smiled. Moss smiled back and saw a small dragonet on her back. She was quietly sleeping as her mother chased after her brother.

"Who's that little one?" Moss asks.

"This is Rose," the smaller red dragon opened her eyes hearing her name. She yawned and opened her pale wings jumping off her mother's back. Heatstorm ran over to his sister and they toddled around.

"They so cute, I-" she cut herself off.

"So what are you doing out here?" She asks.

"I, um, well, I went back with Eden." She stumbled and pulled her wings right along her body.

"Good to know your following your heart. But let me ask you one thing," she paused and looked at her two dragonets. "Did you go to him because you wanted to be with him or something to do with eggs."

Moss sat down and flicked her tail. "I don't know for sure yet, but he doesn't know." Ghost nodded and walked over laying her wing around Moss.

Moss looked at Ghost seeing a whole new side to the dragoness. Ghost was never a compassionate dragon but with this she seemed happy. Moss looked at the ground.

"I'm so young..." she choked on her words.

"You'll learn, but just remember that, is that you shouldn't lie to yourself to to Eden any longer. Heck, I was lying to myself even when I had those two eggs. But I figured it out." She placed a talon on Moss's cheek. "Be careful dear, I've heard the rainforest is ok shock hearing you away once more."

With that Ghost walked over to Heatstorm and Rose. Picking them up she jumped into the air flying away.
