"Where is he?" She asks angrily. "What did you do with Eden and Cobra?"
"They're were they belong. Now it's time for you to go back we're you belong." He replied walking closer to his eldest dragonet. Moss growled and turned away running outside. She didn't make it far before two RainWings had a hold on her. She struggled but found they already taking her away.
"He didn't do anything wrong." She says mostly to herself. Deathbringer flies close to his daughter and the RainWings drop her. Moss opened her wings and quickly steadied herself. Glaring at Deathbringer, two NightWings flew over, surrounding her.
"Moss if you are to one day become queen you have to show the RainWings and NightWings that you can take care of them. You are much to young to run after Eden and expect me not to come and get you. And you cannot spend anymore time out of my sight. I forbid it!" She bowed her head as they flew on.
"You're a hypocrite, don't think I haven't heard the stories from when you and mother met. She was as young as I was. You were sent to kill her! At least he isn't going to kill me!" She shouted. They descended soon after flying a long ways. Deathbringer motions for the four dragons to keep watch.
"You have no right to speak that way to me, Moss. I am your father and king. I hate being the bad dragon but I will if I must. You've disrespected Glory and I for to long." He hissed. Moss bowed her black and rainbow specked head in guilt. Her father lifted her chin to meet his gaze once more. "You're siblings have missed you."
"Thanks Dad, but I don't miss them. They're the reason I ran off in the first place." She snapped back flapping her wings angrily. "I've heard how you, Mom and queen Thorn for along so well before I hatched. What happened?"
Deathbringer opened his mouth to replied but closed it once more sending her a glare.
"You can't keep hiding things from me." She walked closer to him. "Or do you not won't to explain to me that we're the reason Queen Thorn is angry at the NightWings and RainWings."
"Glory will tell you when she is ready to talk abut it." He growled. "We going home now!"
Opening her wings a she followed her father into the sky, a scowl plastered on her face as they flew.
*Time Skip*
After flying for a few more days they finally made it to the rainforest. Deathbringer pushed them on until they came to the village in which Moss walked with her head bowed.
She felt eyes bore into her as she walked behind her father to the throne. Moss looked up as Stormbringer and Mist walked over. Storm looked at Moss and fear crossed his blue eyes for a split second.
"Mother would be happy to see you." He says quickly before Deathbringer walked away with them. Moss took a breath and walked into the room. Glory's eyes followed Moss as she sat in front of her mother. The queen carefully made her way over to Moss, Red was blotched over her wings as she struggled to hide her anger.
"I thought you were behind this, Mossy dear. I didn't question how you were burned, where you went, or even what you did while you were gone. I liked to think I was a good mother to you, that I raised you right. But no, you ran away twice in the mater of four years, Moss." The red disappears from her wings is is replaced with a saddened blue.
"Mother..."
"I was only trying to protect you, aft- after," she took a breath. "After Sunny died Queen Thorn grew angry for it was a RainWing and NightWing that killed her. I was afraid of the same fate for you. I didn't ask you what happened last time, but I'm going to ask you now. Moss what happened when you left and why did you leave? I want answers and I won't let you leave until I do."
"Where's Eden?" She asks. Glory sits in front of Moss. "He needs to be here that way I know he won't be killed."
"Why?"
"Because he needs to be alive when my egg is hatched."
A/N:
AnimusDreamCatcher brought up the fact that Queen Glory and Queen Thorn we're friends and I wrote this a while back so I didn't have a reason as to why their relationship was messed up. But after they comment that I came up with a story (while sad) that explained it. So from the current books this takes (from the first chapter when Moss hatched) place six years later so it's been a while. And this book will be coming to an end soon and I was wondering if y'all want a sequel to it. If so you can comment or pm for titles and book covers if you wish. I hope you enjoyed!
