A rainwing flew around the forest. She was black with rainbow specks on her scales. The underneath of her wings speckled with silver, that looked like stars. She had a small bag around her neck and small golden earrings. She landed near a waterfall smiling as she walked into the pond at the bottom.
"I need to get out more." She said to herself as she splashed in the water. Her thoughts leaving her as she smiled. The was a small laugh from behind a large tree. The dragonet stood up and flared her wings immediately. She growled.
"Who goes there?!" She hissed. She walked out of the water and closer to the tree. The laughing stopped as a large golden Sandwing jumped out of the bushes. He flared his large sandy wings.
"Why would you want to know?" He asks. The Rainwing growled. The male dragon noticed her scales didn't change color. He folded his wing and neatly tucked them into his sides.
"Your the one to talk Rainwing. Where's your color?" He says sitting down. "My name is Eden." He said. The Rianwing nodded.
"My name is Moss." She said closing her wings. Eden nodded.
"So, what are you doing in the forest, Sandwing?" Moss asked walking a bit closer to the male dragon. Eden shrugged.
"I didn't fit in very well in with my own kind. So now I'm here looking for a new home. What about you?" He said looking at her with large green eyes.
"Just trying to get out of my duties. My mom can be so annoying sometimes." She said mostly to herself. Eden smiled amused by her explanation.
"Aren't they all?" He questioned. Moss smiles and lets out a small laugh. Her frills were a bright yellow. They were the only things that would change color. Eden smiled at this. He knew she must be a hybrid. Of course Rainwing, but what else. Moss smiled at him. And he smiled back. It was as if so thing clicked between them. A new friendship maybe.
