Execution...{Based after Agents of Shield S1EP15. Post Dark World}

Sif guided Lorelei through the Bifrost, her hand gripped tightly around the witche's arm as she dragged her forwards.

"Could thou not release thy grip a little?" She groaned, shooting Sif a dark stare. Sif ignored her and carried on forwards, only stopping once she was at the doors of the throne room. She looked to Lorelei and noticed her far too calm for what she was about to face, the guards opened the large oak doors and watch the women walk through.

"Ah fair Lady Sif thou hast brought me my prisoner. Glorious."

The look shared between Odin and Lorelei was not as it should be, it was too friendly. Sif stood before him, releasing her grip on the sorceress at last.

"Aye my lord, she is all thine." Odin nodded curtly his eyes on Lorelei, Sif followed his gaze, her own was distant and the look on her face was of intense concentration. It put the warrior on edge.

"Ah well now I have what I want..." A green shimmer appeared before her eyes and where Odin once stood, stood another in his place.

"Loki...." She seethed.

"Thou see, I need fairest Lorelei, without her my guards would revolt against me. But with her, they are under my command, through her."

A cunning smirk filled both of their faces and without thinking Sif lunged forwards, thrusting Loki into the throne, her sword on his neck. He simply laughed the attack off.

"Lady Sif, thou hast always been brash. Always thinking with thy sword before thy head. Thou forget, i am now the king. Thou hast just committed treason."

Sif's face turned pale as she stepped back, feeling guards restrain her instantly. Lorelei appeared, unchained, at Loki's side. "Shame on thee Sif...shame on thee." Her tone, mocking.

"For thou act of treason, I sentence thee unto be executed by the axe at first light. Thou art too beautiful to let rot in a dungeon. Trust me this is sweeter." He ran his fingers along her jaw before stepping away and gestured for the guards to take her away. She was stripped of her sword, shield and armour and then chained.

"I wilt never trust thee. Never! I would rather take this death punishment, than live under thy rule." She bellowed in a dark tone as she was taken from the room. Loki's laugh rung throughout her ears as the door closed behind her. She prayed Lorelei would delay her affects on the warriors three, for Sif needed them to come to her aid.

Her chains were removed as she was tossed into the cell, she had always pitied those down here and now she was one herself. She hung her head, she was to lose her head at dawn, how could she have been so reckless. "Thou wilt pay for this Loki..." She whispered quietly. "Even if not by my hand.."

Hours passed and Sif's morale grew low, she saw no end to her troubles, only the inevitable axe that was to collide with her neck.

A scurry outside the cell caught the warrior's attention, a guard flew past her view and landed on the stone ground with a sickening crunch. Three more cloaked figures came into view and the shield maiden smiled but froze, shiftily looking around the area. "Fandral, Hogun, Volstagg; what art thou doing down hither? What if thou get caught...I would hate for thee unto join me on the chopping block." She held her neck tentatively.

"My dearest Sif, thou art not to die at his hand or any other in the near future. For we.." Fandral gestured to Hogun and Volstagg. "...wilt set thou free."

She creased her brow, and shook her head. "Nay, I can not allow such an act. Thou can not put thyself in danger for my act of idiocy."

She turned her back and sighed. "Go, now before thou get caught." She turned her back to them ever so slightly.

Fandral let out a exasperated laugh, and a loud clang filled the dungeon. "Come fair Sif, I shalt not take Nay for an answer." Sif turned and her cell was open, she could walk free. Volstagg held out her shield and sword and the warrior smiled, excited. She ran forth and collected her prized possessions from her comrade. The quartet passed through secret hallways and underground tunnels, coming out into the light; just outside the main city. Sif covered her face with her cloak as not to be seen.

"Fandral, thou must know that I can not come back. Once I cross to another realm, I am gone from thee. All of thee." Her voice shook as she spoke, Asgard was all she had ever known. She knew not sure where she would go from here.

"Thou shalt not be alone. For I am coming with thee. Hogun and Volstagg wilt stay here and send word when it is safe unto return."

"If it is ever safe to return." Sif added in contempt. Fandral went quiet for a moment.

"Aye, we may never get unto return but at least we shalt not be alone." He placed a hand on her shoulder.

"Thou should get moving. Before the guards wake." Hogun added quickly, his eyes darting around the plains. Fandral gave a nod.

"Verily, wilt thou be well my friends?" They both nodded in unison.

"Go, take her; get our Lady Sif unto safety."

The four of them said their brief goodbyes and as Hogun and Volstagg made haste for the palace; Sif and Fandral snuck through the Bifrost with the help of Heimdall. Once their feet hit the ground they took in their surroundings.

"Well my friend, now what?" Sif asked, shooting a smile at her brother in arms. "Follow our hearts fair Sif." He led her forwards into the new realm, all the while she prayed she would not be gone from Asgard for too long. Her heart lay there, it was her home.
