JUSTIN'S POV:
As Elysandra and I walk to her first class, all I can think about was the dream. As hard as I try to shake it, I can't. It doesn't make any sense. She's my best friend. So why would I have a dream about being with her... in that way? Flashbacks of the dream continue running through my mind. She kisses me. She pulls my shirt off, running her hands all over my body. I pick her up and she wraps her legs around my waist. She whispers in my ear-
"Hello? Anybody in there?" Ely's voice snaps me back to reality. I blush, embarrassed at my thoughts. "Are you ok? You've been acting weird all morning."
I look around. Somehow, we managed to make it to her class, and we are standing outside the door. "Yeah," I finally answer, after coming to terms with the present. "Just a little distracted, I don't know. But it doesn't matter. Have a great first day of class! I'll be here when you're done," I say, pulling her into a hug. I release her, and she walks into her class. I turn my back to the wall and let myself slide down it. I need to gather my thoughts before Ely finishes this class. If I don't get my act together, she'll figure this out. She always figures everything out.
Maybe it's just a dream. Nothing more. Maybe I just need to get laid. But deep down, subconsciously, I knew I was lying to myself. If it were just a dream, I wouldn't have kept it from her. I'd have told her about it, and we'd laugh it off, like we do everything else. If it were just a dream, I wouldn't have had to turn away when she got changed this morning. It wouldn't affect me, just like every other time. If it were just a dream, I wouldn't be obsessing over it all morning like I am now. It means something. I'm not sure what, but it does. But what do I do about it? Ugh, this is so-
The chime of my phone interrupts my thoughts. Thank god. I look down at the screen to see two notifications. One is from Ely, the other from the hockey team group chat. Desperate for a distraction, I open the group chat. The message was from Christian, team captain.
Christian: The new uniforms just came in this morning. Stop by the house some time today to pick yours up before practice starts.
I know how dorky it is, but few things make me happier than a new hockey uniform. I smile to myself, anxious to pick it up. I go to check Ely's message.
Princess Ely: Prof is the worst. Won't shut up. SAVE MEEEE.
I smile at her text. I told her not to take Econ 101 at 8 am on a Monday. But did she listen? Of course not. Typical over achiever Elysandra. I reply to her text.
Me: Told you sooooo :P What do you have planned after this?
Less than ten seconds go by before I get a text back.
Princess Ely: NOTHING.
Me: Wanna come with me to pick up my new hockey uniform? We can get lunch after?
Princess Ely: Two conditions. A) we get panera for lunch. B) you model that cute little uniform for me later (;
Me: SHUT UP.
I'm about as red as a tomato right now. I know she's just trying to be funny, but what if she's not? Ugh. That's the last time I'm ever dreaming. From now on, dreaming is canceled.
My thoughts are again interrupted by a sound. This time, it's the sound of a door opening. Ely's class just finished. I stand to meet her as she walks out of the classroom, an imprint of the back of her hand on the side of her face. She looked like a little kid that had been woken from nap time to early. I laughed,"You should really see yourself right now, it's hilarious."
She just glares at me. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen, so I take out my phone to post a picture of her on Snapchat. She tries to block her face with her hands, but she's not quick enough.
