Chapter 10

CHAPTER 10

It is now 2 days that Charles had gone, no call and no text.

I didn’t want to try and visit him in his mansion for I might end up getting in trouble again.

It was Friday and Sandy and I were having lunch with Liam.

“Are you sure Charles and you are fine?” Sandy asked

“He did not call or text me” I said

“It’s been 2 days” she said

“I don’t know give him some time” I said as I sighed.

“Hey Haifa, are you really okay?” Sandy asked as Liam looked closely.

“She had not sleep well and starved a little” Liam said

“And when did you get expert on that?” Sandy asked

“You see before coming here back to my old school I fell in love too but to make my story short I got rejected and what Haifa’s thinking might have gotten into me” he said

Sandy and I looked on each other.

“You know we should hit the mall” he even added

“Nice idea you got there Liam” Sandy said

“No one can say no” Sandy said

“Alright okay I’ll come” I told her not wanting her to brag about it.

“Oh God look at this dress” Sandy exclaimed on the dress that she wanted as Liam and I followed her around.

“Oh this is nice” I said as we walked on a book store

“Haifa? Were here to enjoy” Sandy said

“This will only take a minute” I said as I checked on the new book.

“I’ll take this” I said as I bought on the newly release series of The Hobbit where they try to slay the dragon.

As I was paying I didn’t even realized that the cashier was flirting with his eyes.

“That’ll be $10” he said as I handed him the money and immediately left.

“Oh God you just averted a cutie” Sandy said as Liam was smiling.

“You know sometimes I even think your souls were exchanged” I told Sandy

“Whatever, we have the whole mall to shop” she said as we followed her.

Sandy stopped on a jewel store and tried whatever she could. The white gold bracelet got my attention.

I stared on it and was fond on the diamonds that was embodied to it.

“That will be perfect on you” the sales lady said as I smiled on her.

“Would you like to try it?” she asked

“No, I don’t need it. It’s fine I was just looking anyway” I told her and moved on to Sandy and Liam.

“So I had let you girls went to the stores you wanted can we at least go to the music store?” he said

“Good idea” I told him

“What did your souls get together now?” Sandy asked sarcastically as Liam and I laughed

“Ooh I like this” I told Sandy as I showed her the music I wanted

“Never heard of that I guess” she answered

“Well either way I’ll get this” I told her and went to the cashier straightly.

While we were waiting Liam to be done Sandy and I waited for him outside.

“So you really are into Liam?” I asked

“Yeah, he’s awesome and we have a lot of things in common” Sandy said

“I’m happy for you” I said

“Thank You” Sandy said as she gave me a hug

Then Liam came and asked “What I missed?”

Sandy and I answered our laughs.

“We’ll we should be heading home it’s almost dark” I said as they both agreed and went to our cars.

“Hey, so I’ll meet you on Sunday” I said as I head on to my car.

Then turned back and told Liam “Hey Liam, take care of her would you?”

“Of course I would Haifa” he answered as I went in to my car.

I drove of as they followed and on the middle of the highway they had already separated.

Arriving home I turned on my stereo and coincidently played “Afterglow by Wilkinson”

“What?” I told myself 

I then went to remove my shoes and lay on my sofa and looked at ceiling realizing how tired I was.

Then I grabbed on the book that I bought and read on.

Not long that I remembered Charles again, remembered how I miss him.
