CHAPTER 20

I stood frozen for seconds and Charles face were getting relentless.

 “Charles can you please ask me again?”  I said wanting to make it real

 “Haifa when the war ends will you marry me?” he asked and tears fell down on my eyes.

 I went to him and hugged him tight and said “Yes I will”

 He pushed a little so he could see

 “Well, if I may ask why are you crying?” he asked

 “I’m crying because I love you too much for you to ever know” i told him

 Then he took my hand and wore a delightfully colored jade, pearls and gold of a ring

 “This is so beautiful” I told him

 “That was made by Torrini Firenze during 1369 here in Italy, he was our old friend, he personally crafted this for the truly women I would love and called it ‘The Exultation ’ - he named it after his late son that had died smiling” he said

 “This really is beautiful” I exclaimed as I looked at it very close.

 “Haifa, I want you to know that I do love you and I will do whatever it takes to protect you – please do know that on other events I cannot control my anger especially when it pertains to someone hurting you” he said

 “Charles, I believe you and if I were you I will do anything to protect you too” I told him

 “You would be the only girl that I would love” he said then kissed my forehead

 Then not long that we sit on to mesmerize our moment his phone rang.

 “Hello?” Charles said on the line then he stipped for a second and then said “We’re on our way”

 “I’m sorry Haifa but we need to go” he said as he took my hand and we ran to our car.

 Carlos had saw us coming and were trying to halt us.

 “Mr. Bacardi, is there anything wrong?” he asked

 “Carlos, remember our deal before?” Charles asked

 “Certo! (Of course) Mr. Bacardi” he answered

 “Well, I want you to prepare anytime” Charles said and then we went straight to the car and Charles drove fast to Hannah’s place.

 “What’s wrong Charles?” I asked

 “Let’s go and find out” he said as he focused more on the road and overtaking.

 We had arrived fast in Hannah’s place and went out immediately.

 “Charles” Hannah said

 “What is it Hannah?” Charles asked

 We went inside and Charles had rushed inside.

 I ran at his back as everyone followed him inside a room.

 He forcefully pushed the door until it slammed on the wall.

 “Why have you come here?” Charles in his very relaxed tone.

 And as I went inside I saw a creature tightly tied and was beaten guarded by Theuos and Rusov.

 I was shocked to even describe you to it. It was in a human form and it’s skin were very white very much  white as snow and its eyes were very dark , its lips were cracking and it’s teeth were sharp and crooked with black blood coming out to it.
