CHAPTER 11
CHARLES’ POV
“Master, what bothers you?” Theuos asked
“It’s been two days that I haven’t saw Haifa” I answered
“And if I may ask the reason?” he said
“He wanted to be like me Theuos and I gave her a test to live with me to consider how terrible it is to be like me” I said
“Sir, you give others chance to decide for themselves and I have to admit that when you had created me and avenged my family I asked myself what will I do next? I have no more use of this world but then when I saw you and your works I imagined how great it is to have been saved by you and saw the world how grateful it could be.” He said
“Theuos I don’t want to end up one’s life again” I said
“You don’t Master but you give them the eternity to live upon” he said
“I don’t want her to feel what I felt” I said
“She won’t Master we are here to be with her” he said
As I thought of it deeply.
“You owe My lady at least a reasonable explanation” he said and I looked at him.
“Thank you Theuos I will go to her now” I said and left
I arrived at Haifa’s house and she was sleeping on her sofa with a book on her chest.
How good it is to see her, how I very much missed her, very much that I want her to be in my arms again.
I held his face as he moved and dropped the book she was reading.
“I’m sorry darling – I wasn’t clearly thinking” I told her though I know she isn’t hearing me.
I fixed her hair and said “I will be here when you wake up”
HAIFA’s POV
My eyes still closed and I can feel my back aching.
I moaned to move on my left side to see someone sitting on my table.
“Holy – Charles?” I exclaimed
“I’m here darling” he said as I jumped on to hug him.
“I’ve missed you” I said
“Darling, I’m sorry I left you without notice” he said
“It’s okay I understand” I said
“Haifa, I’m sorry I did that to you. I was lost in my thought” he said
“Charles, what’s wrong?” I asked
“Haifa, can you please do think a little bit more of what you’re asking?” he said
“Okay, yes of course” I said
“Oh darling, how I long to be with you again” he said
“I thought you’d leave me” I said in low voice
“I will never repeat what I’ve made decades ago Haifa” he said
“Promise me you won’t leave me” I said
“I promise” he said
“And don’t ever do that to me again” I said
“I promise” he said again
“What time is it anyway?” I asked
“7” Charles answered
“And when did you arrive?” I asked
