So both of us being the immature people we were... or being the same immature person we are, I'm not sure anymore, had a fight over who won. Obviously it was me. It got to the point where we just blasted each other with some sort of ray thing. We both just gave up on the whole "I got here first" thing because we both knew neither of us were gonna say they finished last.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Alright, let's go kill Veteran Child." Fun me nodded. "Follow me," she said waving a hand at me.
As soon as we got there, I saw the area was littered with furries. "Since when does DJ Veteran Child party with furries?" fun me inquired. The real him was inside a red shielded circle-ish area. He was doing what his name implies. DJ-ing. Or whatever the verb for that is.
We got to work on killing the herd of "animals." Then the weirdest thing happened.
DJ Veteran Childs started coming down. As in, from the sky. As in, DJ Veteran Child rain. "What the f***?" I yelled. We began shooting at them. "It's no use. When we kill one, the other gets stronger!" I was kind of proud of my knowledge. Apparently, so was other me. "Woah! How do you know that kind of stuff?" It was a rhetorical question.
I noticed there were two devices around the outer perimeter of the shielded area. "Hey, me! You still know how to hack?" I yelled at her from across the battlefield. "Little bit," she replied. I motioned for her to stand at the other end and start hacking. Whilst we were hacking into his shield, the real DJVC snapped back to his senses and began trying to help himself. He sent out two copies of himself, but this time they had shields, just like the wardens that Zinyak sends out occasionally.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the boss fighting them off with Viola, protecting us while we worked on destroying his shield. They were good people. Finally, they defeated the both of them, and not a moment too soon. Right as the second copy's body hit the cold ground, we got the shield off of the real one.
I had to give fun me some credit. She was right about the drugs giving us an advantage. If we had gone straight to DJ Veteran Child, we would have been screwed. It was a hard battle. The whole time he was under his little ward, he was getting stronger from the deaths of the furries and his copies. This could take a while.
We fired bullets into him, threw ice blasts at him, threw cars at him, but he was so strong. We had to keep trying. Eventually, me being the lazy person I am, gave up and snuck over to go see if I could hack into him (this was a simulation) and make him weaker. I succeeded, and he was dead even before I could return to the battlefield. Thank god it was over. My nightmare is done, and I got superpowers out of it. That's a plus.
