Prologue

When I woke up, it was dark. I turned on the light and jerked up. It was 3 am. I turned around and I saw Viola was awake, too. "Again?" I asked in a dull voice. She nodded. Each time in the dream I awoke to being knocked out by a most uncanny creature. It had long, clawed feet, marks all over its body. Its armor impenetrable, like nothing ever seen to mankind, glowed red. Flourishing out of the top of its head were tiny black horns. That was all I saw before I woke again in a prison room. I had no idea where I was. All along the cold stone walls were glowing red lines, made out of nothing I had ever seen before. A slot opened in the large dark door and a tray of human flesh plopped through. That was when I woke up. We had had this dream multiple times before. Was this a sign, a coincidence, or are the both of us going crazy? "Well, we might as well try to go back to sleep. We have a long day ahead of us," I said. She grunted in agreement and we drifted off into the world of dreams.

The next day, we awoke again at the same time- 3 am. This time, neither of us could fall asleep. I suggested we go for a walk. That was when it happened. As I stepped outside, there was a sharp jerk on the side of my head, and I don't know what happened to Viola, but when we, or at least, I woke up, the both of us were in the same prison room from the dream. We were strapped back to back on cold steel chairs. The chains looked rusty. I decided to pull, and a deep gash formed on my wrist. "Great going, Shaundi," Viola sneered. "As if we didn't have enough on our plates." "Shut up, at least I'm trying. I don't see you doing anything productive over there, thank you very much," I snapped back. She rolled her eyes. "Whatever," she sighed. "Think the boss is coming? She always does.. Most of the time" I laughed at that. "Do you really think the boss is gonna save us now? Remember when Pierce went crazy and blew up your helicopter? She didn't exactly come running to save you that time, did she?" We sat there for what seemed like days, when it was really only maybe two hours. Then the next part of our dream happened. Yep, you guessed it- human flesh. We jumped up and screamed, and I wondered, are we supposed to eat this? Well, there were knives and forks there, so I assumed yes. They came in and unbuckled us from the chair but left our hands bound together. They turned around and slammed the door shut before I had a chance to escape. I groaned. "Ughhh we're never gonna get outta here!"

We were there for a few weeks. I think they were experimenting on us; each time they came in they would give us injections made out of that red glowy stuff. I heard the lock of the door click and in walked in the alien for our daily injections. Suddenly, there were gunshots. Could it be the boss after all? No, it wasn't. It was Matt. We screamed and screamed at him as he passed but he didn't let us out. I don't think either of us are going to forgive him for this. He's either going deaf or being an absolute jerk. My guess would be the latter. I'm assuming the boss sent Matt to come get us and she got frustrated, because the next day she was here...by herself. She stormed in, grabbing two of their remarkable alien rifles, and shooting everyone in sight (who wasn't an alien, of course). She barged into our cell and broke us out of the ship. No, it wasn't sailing across the sea, it was in space, and I wonder to this day how Viola and I breathed that whole time. Waiting for us on the platform outdoors was the Saints' spaceship. We hopped on and glided back to Earth.

Waiting for us back at our main penthouse was the Saints. Pierce and Kinzie (ugh), Oleg, Johnny, Zimos; the whole crew. I never thought I'd say this, but I was relieved to be back with them- even Kinzie. Not Pierce, though. Never Pierce. I've always had a deep hatred for him for some reason. I'm not racist, I swear.. am I? No, I like to say that I'm psychic. Once he became manicial and took hold of a tank, attempting to murder us all. I was with the boss that day, and I'm pretty sure I only got out alive because they both thought I was dead. That was after he purposely crashed his helicopter into the boss and Viola's, while they were oh so kindly trying to save the world, as I referred to earlier. And Kinzie.. well, Kinzie just gets annoying with all this scientific bull. She never shuts up, swear to god.

Anyways, we had bigger problems on our hands then. For christ's sake, we had just been kidnapped by aliens, wich the boss later informed us were called Zin, led by some oaf named Zinyak. Full of yourself much? Alright, I'm getting off topic. We needed to figure out our approach. I guess Kinzie wasn't so useless after all.

Hey everyone! I know this isn't perfect, I'm new to this, my friend just told me about it a little bit ago. I was practicing writing and decided to write about one of my favourite things in POV of my favourite character. Anyways, hopefully I'll learn and get better along the way. Enjoy!
