I looked around from the spaceship floor, a little woozy. I was mad at Viola, but fear overcame desire for revenge. Yes, it was that much. I caught sight of her strapping herself into a chair as I picked myself up and dusted off my pants. My hair was pulled out of the usual bun from the fight. It wasn't even a fight, it was just me getting beat up by my so-called "friend."
I trundled over grumpily to the control area next to her and almost fell over. Pierce had to help me strap in my seat. God Pierce, I'm not two. Good to know it made Kinzie jealous, though. I could see her glaring at me from across the room. If looks could kill...
As I was about to start up the ship, the boss decided that I was too "knocked up in the head" to fly and took over. You know, I don't even really see why she needed to start that anyways. If she had just used a bit of common sense, she would have known she'd have to go anyways, whether she wanted to or not (of course she wants to). It's not like we could through her out into space alone. Duh.
I relaxed against the wall while the boss flew around space, searching for the Zin spaceship. Viola was giving me dirty looks the whole way while I kept an icepack on my eye. Damn, I knew she liked him, but I didn't know she liked him that much.
Finally, after hours of searching, we found the Zin spaceship that we were assuming held Matt captive.
We tried to line up the exits as subtly as possible, but the Zin were notified of our presence right away. The Boss, Pierce, Viola, and I ran on board the Zin spaceship, guns blazing. I got a few headshots, and then some not as good, like on the hand or leg. As I looked over at Viola, she ran out of ammo. She gets really badass when it comes to people she cares about. She slid under a Zin, punched it in the crotch as she went, rolled, hopped back up, jabbed it in the back of the neck with her elbow, and bodyslammed it. Damn! She's good.
It was Viola who finally found Matt, and it's a good thing she located him when she did. He looked like he was about to pass about. There he was, sprawled out on the floor, butt naked (for reasons still unknown), drool coming out of his mouth, eyes half closed, and so pale that he literally glowed. Actually, I think that's his normal skin colour. Whatever. Apparently, he had found a secret stash of some sort of alien vodka. You know, sometimes I feel bad for Matt and his tiny, tiny, brain.
We had to help him up and to the ship. And by "we," I mean Viola (of course) and the boss. You had to guess something was gonna be weird if I was telling you this, right? Well yeah, he bit me. Hard.
While I was actually being useful and prepping the ship for takeoff, Pierce and Kinzie were making out in the background, and Matt was singing a song to Viola. "The World is Ugly," by My Chemical Romance. That's her favourite band. The boss kept on poking me and telling me that I wasn't very stable at the moment and should probably go lay down.
Well, Viola found Matt and I found two blacks eyes, bruises, and a couple of scratches.
