I went to be as early as I could so I would wake up in time to walk to school with Emilia. I got up changed, and rushed out the door.
"Aren't you going to eat breakfast Shawn?" My sister asked me before sitting down to eat.
"Nope I have to go to school asap!" I said while running out the door. As I was making my way to Emilia's house I decided to send streaks on snapchat for once and a while. My friends always bug me about how I'm horrible at keeping them but I don't really care, what's the point anyway? So as I was walking I looked up from my phone and there I saw her. She was already outside waiting for me, the thought of that made me smile and send shivers down my body. When she noticed I was looking she just started walking off towards the school. Oh how I wanted to chase her, I started running to catch up to her, she walks pretty fast. But I catch up gasping for air.
"Why..D..didn't...you..w..wait..for..m.me?" I said trying to gain oxygen. "I wanted to know if you would chase after me" she said with a wink. She had played me and now she knew I had feelings for her.
"Technically, I'm just trying to get to school as soon as possible" I said trying to sound smarter than I am at this moment.
"Well in that case, you can carry these" she handed me her books and I just carried them till we got to school. Guess who I first noticed when I walked through the doors. The guys, they came up to me and started asking questions.
"Who's your girlfriend Mendes?" One of them said.
"She's not my girlfriend, this is Emilia" I said introducing her to the guys. It was better than them making fun of me for talking to a girl.
"Nice to meet you boys" she said with a bright smile. Her smile made the temperature in my cheeks rise, just by her smile.
"Lets go Emilia, okay?" I said while grabbing her hand trying not to lose her in the crowded hallway. She nodded and followed me through the hallway. I took her to the room I adore the most, the music room.
"Maybe you can sing for me?" She said admiring all the instruments especially the piano. Her eyes filled with joy and amazement.
"Maybe another time" I said while sitting on the piano bench, tapping the bench so she would sit next to me. She did and what really surprised me was that she put her hands on the piano and started playing "Where is my Mind" she knew exactly what to play and exactly at the right dynamics. I was stunned and amazed, staring into her eyes that were too focused on her hands reaching the right places on the piano. When she was done she turned her head to stare right at me. All I did was stare into her beautiful brown eyes. Her face was inches away from mine, I cupped her cheeks and leaned in. Just as our lips grazed each other's the bell rang for homeroom. We were late and yet again another moment ruined.
