Chapter 18
The next day I wait all night for Jai to knock on my front door. I understand it takes 9 hours to get here but it was 9 hours from the time he left and I was beginning to get worried.
I call his phone. No reply. I leave two messages before going downstairs and walking into the kitchen. Then a knock at my door startles me but it's only Jai. I walk towards the door and wait a few seconds before opening it. Jai looks different... in ways that I can't describe. He looked tired, but more mature. He didn't look fourteen, not like he was that age anymore.
I sit there and look at him for a moment.
"Hi." He sounded like a stranger. Like I had never heard his voice before, but I had many times. Not for a long time. But he had changed a lot and I couldn't comprehend wether that was a bad thing because he looked damn attractive.
"Hey." I say. Well, this is going to be awkward.
"Um. Come in. Out of the snow at least." I say, only then realising I had picked up a British accent since I had been here.
"Thanks." He says and walks inside.
"You have a British accent now?" He says with a smile and I groan.
"Yeah. I love British accents but I feel so weird talking to someone who has an Australian accent." I say and he chuckles.
"You look so different." He says to me and I smile.
"Yeah. So do you." I say.
"Yeah." He agrees.
"So... um do you want a drink or something." I say and he shakes his head.
"No thanks but I really want to sort things out." He says. I lead him up to my room and we sit, cross legged on my bed.
"Would you ever take me back?" Jai asks and I just sit there trying to avoid eye contact but that's difficult.
"Jai. I was one of the most unhappiest girls in the world. You were the only one that made me happy again. I love you but I don't know. I do want to but it's complicated..." I explain the whole story about Brady to Jai and he understood.
"But what I was asking was.. Do you want to date me again?" He says and once again I avoid eye contact.

Hey everyone! Sorry about the short update but... hmm... cliffhanger? Aha. Anyways pleeeease comment about making a second book of Fix You. Just gotta think of a name. I think this book is pretty much done and I really want to start fresh!
