Chapter 21
"It's good that everything is back to normal." I say.
"Except for that Caleb dude. He keeps getting too close to you." Jai says and I roll my eyes.
"He's my best friend." I say.
"You're best friend has a crush on you." Jai says and I roll my eyes again.
"Jai. Please be nice." I say as we skate around.
"We should go somewhere else." He suggests.
"Cause Caleb won't be there?" I say and he tries to not admit but he can't lie to me.
"Yup." He says.
"Okay then." I say and we go over to the edge.
"Jai. You don't have to worry about Caleb. I love you not him." I say as we take off our boots and put our shoes on. Even though Jai is looking down at his shoes I can see his lips lift in a smile. I look over at Caleb and he looked... sad. In a way and it made me feel guilty. He really liked me but like I said to Jai...
I don't like Caleb.
We walk around the cold park for a while and eventually sit down in the snow for a bit. I slide over further from Jai and gather some snow into a ball. I throw it and it hits the side of Jai face.
Watching him look over at me was hilarious. But he looked serious so I hid my cheeky smile. But I started to smile when he turn around and threw a snow ball at me. I almost screamed and ran away from jai as we swerved through the trees, trying to dodge snow from other snow ball fights. Jai grabbed a hold of me and Jai accidentally fell on top of me.
He started tickling me and it was hilarious.
"Jai. Stop." I say in between laughs.
"Jai! Don't." I whine and he stops.
"Gee. What was the tickling for?" I ask and he smiles cheekily.
"Pay back." He says.
"For what?"
"Throwing a snow ball at me. What else?" He says and helps me up from the ground.
"Shut up." I say and we walk back to my place. We make hot chocolates and sit in front of the t.v watching Jai and I's favourite movie, 50 First Dates. It's absolutely hilarious to Jai and I find it quite funny too. As Jai does he loved the part about the walrus throwing up on the person and the part where the girl that had brain damage went and bashed the guys friend... The one with the weird eye.
The movie finished and we ate dinner, got ready for bed and slept.
I got out of bed and walked down to see Jai in the kitchen. We went for a walk and found his mother. She looked different, her hair was longer. Strangely. I knew her better than my own mother but I just couldn't recognise her until Jai said.
"Mum. Guess what? Celia said that she would date me again." He says and kisses me right in front of his mum. The ground started to rumble and the ground split. Jai was on one side and I was on the other. Jai started to become further away from me, yelling my name until he completely disappeared.
I jolted up in bed, the reality of loosing Jai again was the worst and I couldn't bare not seeing him. I walked into the kitchen and got a drink of water.
"Celia." Jai says from behind me. I swing around and find him standing in the hall way.
"What's wrong?" He says.
"Bad dream." I say and he walks up to me and hugs me. He was so cute when he looked tired.
"I wanna meet you for the first time again and I want to have that first kiss again. I love you Celia. I promise to never loose you again." He says and a tear runs down my cheek. Dreaming that and then what he is saying now is scaring me.
"Shut up Jai." I say and hug him.
"My dream. There was an earthquake and the ground split apart. You were on one side and I was on the other then it just kept going further and further apart until you disappeared." I say and he chuckles.
"That will never happen. I'll never let go of you." He says.
