Chapter 30

Jai's POV

We get back to my place and Celia starts packing. I was going to miss having her around all the time. but we would definitely see each other at school and after school. The rest of the afternoon Celia and I spent singing, recording, and posting stuff on Instagram.

There is a house built out of stone

Wooden floors, walls and window sills

Tables and chairs worn by all of the dust

This is a place where I don't feel alone

This is a place where I feel at home.

And I built a home

for you

for me

Until it disappeared

from me

from you

And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust........

Out in the garden where we planted the seeds

There is a tree as old as me

Branches were sewn by the color of green

Ground had arose and passed its knees

By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top

I climbed the tree to see the world

When the gusts came around to blow me down

Held on as tightly as you held onto me

Held on as tightly as you held onto me......

And I built a home

for you

for me

Until it disappeared

from me

from you

And now, it's time to leave and turn to dust........

We sung. I loved this song; To Build A Home by Cinematic Orchestra. The door bell suddenly rang and we both walked to the door with Celia's bags. I open the door and of course, there is Celia's mother.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow." She says and gives me a hug before she walks down the pathway and into the car. I wave goodbye as the car drives off and I run up to my room. I had idea where my mother was. But she came only a little while after Celia left.

"Jai!" Mum calls.

"Hey." I say walking down the stairs.

"Where were you?" I ask.

"At Aunty Rach's place. She asked me around for a cup of coffee." She says and I nod.

"Okay. That was random." I say and she nods.

"Has Celia already left?" She asks.

"Yeah. She has." I say.

"Let's have dinner. Shall we." She says and lifts up a couple of bags. She sometimes bought Chinese food for dinner. To be honest, I wasn't very fond of it. But Mum liked it, so I ate it. After dinner we sat down and watched The Voice. Some of the singers had me singing along. But a knock at the door made me jump.

"I'll get it." Mum says and walks to the door.

"Is Jai Waetford here?" A male voice asks and I walk to the door as my mother stares at me. I find a police man and a police woman standing in the door way with sympathetic looks on their faces.

"Do you know Celia Vidgen?" He asks and I slowly nod.

"Why?" My mother says and they just stand there for a second...
